Om tv-out te krijgen moet ik een nvidia driver toevoegen en mijn XF86Config aanpassen.

In het "Device" gedeelte moet:

Option "TwinView"
Option "SecondMonitorHorizSync" "30-50"

Ik gokte erop dat de driver al aanwezig was.. maar ik geloof dat het toch niet het geval is, aangezien het niet werkt...

Heeft iemand enig idee hoe ik die nvidia driver kan installeren?
En mocht dat niet werken, kan ik dan nog makkelijk terug naar mijn vorige instellingen, of ben ik alles kwijt?

op www.nvidia.com kan je een driver installer downloaden... (install deze driver alleen als X uit is... (dus ff naar default runlevel gaan en installen)) en ff de readme lezen natuurlijk

ik heb de Geforce2 MX 64

ik heb nu de nvidia driver gedownload en geinstalleerd.
Ik neem aan dat ik hem nu ook gebruik, aangezien als ik X start, ik eerst een mooi groot logo van NVIDIA te zien krijg
Dat werkt dus...

Alleen tv-out nog niet.

TV out zet je binnen X-Windows aan bij de driver opties van je kaart. Zo heb ik het in iedergeval gedaan met red hat 9

en waar vind je die driver opties precies?

Open het menu, ga naar system settings en kies display
Hier vind je alles wat je nodig hebt. Let wel op met de Nvidia driver en de automatische updates: Wanneer je je kernel automatisch update zal X-Windows niet meer starten dit komt omdat hij de Nvidia kernel module er uit gooit. Om dit probleem op de lossen log je in als root, ga je naar de map waar je gedownloade nvidia driver staat en doe je ¨sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-4363.run¨ Hij vraagt dan de oude driver te verwijderen, kies yes, uit eindelijk zal hij met de vraag komen of hij je kernel moet recompilen met de nvidia module dan zeg je weer yes en als hij klaar is reboot je ff en X-Windows start weer. Ik had het net ook ineens was wel ff schrikken
