Irisscanning is minder betrouwbaar dan vingerscanning. Zo is het mogelijk om de scanner te mislukken door de afdruk van een irisscan op een vel papier te zetten, en deze voor de scanner te houden. Lange wimpers, tranende ogen en harde lenzen kunnen het scannen moeilijk maken.

De volgende keren dat je dan naar binnen wilt zal de machine je herkennen. Een voordeel is dat er een groter oppervlak kan worden gescand en nog preciezer kan worden vastgesteld of de persoon ook daadwerkelijk degene is die zich voordoet.

Iets zelf in het Engels verwoorden is overigens een stuk makkelijker dan iets vertalen. Voor de vele termen die je nodig zult hebben kun je gewoon gebruik maken van Engelse artikelen over dit onderwerp.
