Dat is fout. Er staat nooit will/would in een if-clause, wel een past tense. Juist is dus: if you had already kissed.

Ik weet niet wat je met die 's bedoelt? Is? In dat geval kloppen je tijden niet. Het moet zijn: if there was just a slight chance.
De -s van was wordt nooit 's.
'you better make sure' is ook zo'n vreemde constructie.

'je zou beter' vertaal je door 'you had better'.

Volgens mij is dit origineel.. Google leverde niks op iig.

Ik vind het eerlijk gezegd een beetje oppervlakkig; het lijkt alsof je wel een idee hebt waarover je wilt schrijven maar het niet helemaal kan uitwerken, alsof je te veel aan de oppervlakte blijft. Ik herken niet echt iets nieuws in de tekst, dat is imo wel jammer.

Qua structuur is er niets mis mee voor een songtekst, maar qua inhoud vind ik het een stuk minder.
