[islam] Jeruzalem
Ik was een totaal ander artikel aan het lezen, maar er stond een link naar deze. Ik vraag me af hoe jullie hier tegen aan kijken. Denken jullie dat het een misvatting is dat moslims Jeruzalem als heilige plaats voor hun geloof zien?
Persoonlijk interesseert het me niet zo welke steden voor wie heilig zijn, als een ieder met een ander geloof er maar met respect wordt behandeld en zoveel mogelijk hun geloof kunnen uitoefenen. Probleem alleen in dit geval is dus dat er een moskee op de plek van waar de tempel zou staan, staat en daarom is dit vraagstuk interessant, gevaarlijk en mooi tegelijk. "But in Palestine during that time, there was no mosque at all that could have been the mosque 'most distant' from the Al-Haram Mosque," he said, according to MEMRI. "During that time, there were no people in [Palestine] who believed in Muhammad and would gather to pray in a specific place that served as a mosque." The Egyptian columnist noted most of the inhabitants of Palestine at that time were Christians and a Jewish minority. "The construction of the mosque situated today in Jerusalem and known as the Al-Aqsa Mosque began only in the year 66 of the Hijra of the prophet – that is, during the era of the Omayyad state, not during the time of the prophet nor that of any of the righteous caliphs," he said. Arafa concludes the Night Journey began at the Al-Haram Mosque in Mecca "after the prophet had prayed there with his companion, and both of them had left it, and the journey ended at the mosque of As'ad ibn Zurara, in front of the house of Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari, in Medina, where the prophet built the mosque known as the Mosque of the Prophet." The details of the journey of the Hijra, or emigration, Arafa says, "are the very same details of the Night Journey, because the Night Journey is indeed the secret Hijra." |

Ik dacht altijd dat de er drie redenen waren Jerusalem als een heilige stad te zien waren, de ene was inderdaad te maken had met de verste moskee, een andere had meer te maken dat veel van propheten van de islam uit Jerusalem kwamen, denk aan Jezus, David en Solomon en de laatste dat het de eerste Qibla was.
Nu bestaat er de kans dat inderdaad dat één van die drie niet klopt, maar aangezien het een abrahamitische religie is deze kans groot. ;) Dit doet er echter weinig toe voor het israel palestina conflict, met name dat ik denk dat het niet zo zeer draait om een Jodendom en Islam tegenstelling, maar ook omdat er nog twee reden overblijven en veel jaren traditie. |

De meest heilige gebouw kaaba bestond ookal voor de komst van de profeet Mohammed. De argument van die persoon, dat daar helemaal geen moskee was, omdat er daar toenertijd geen moslims waren (wat ook logisch was, aangezien ze toenertijd geen internet oid hadden), hoeft dus niet perse te kloppen. Verder zijn er een aantal haddieth die ondersteunen dat de profeet vanaf Jeruzalem naar de hemel steeg.

Voor hetzelfde geld wordt er bewezen dat die tempel eigk niet zo heilig is. Het punt is dat moslims het allemaal met elkaar eens zijn dat jeruzalem de derde heilige stad is, en dat die moskee daar ook moet blijven.

Misschien is er ergens anders een andere al Aqsa moskee dat wel al bestond in het leven van Mohammed.
Het probleem wat je tegenkomt is dus: 1. Islamitische traditie stelt dat Mohammed [eventjes] naar de hemel zou zijn gegaan op de tempelberg in 621 2. de Dome of the Rock was gebouwd in 690 3. de eerste al aqsa moskee werd voltooid in 710. 4. Koran 17:1 stelt: "1. Heilig is Hij Die Zijn dienaar bij nacht voerde van de Heilige Moskee naar de Verre Moskee welker omgeving Wij hebben gezegend, opdat Wij hem enkele Onzer tekenen zouden tonen. Voorwaar, Hij is de Alhorende, de Alziende." 5. Probleem: die verre moskee kan overal zijn, maar op de tempelberg stond geen moskee op dat moment. 6. Feit: de twee hierboven genoemde gebouwen behoren tot 1 van de drie belangrijkste plaatsen binnen de Islam. 7. Vraag: hoe belangrijk is het nog als die verre moskee zoals in de koran staat waarschijnlijk om een andere verre moskee gaat? 8. Er wordt geopperd door de auteur van de column, genoemd in het artikel, dat het hier niet om Jeruzalem gaat, maar om Medina en dat het de Hijra betreft. [edit: data afkomstig van wikipedia. De engel Jibrail nam Mohammed (v.z.m.h.) in Mekka bij de arm, toen deze lag te slapen voor de moskee. Voor de poort van de moskee stond een wit rijdier. Het dier, Buraak, had vleugels aan zijn hoeven, waarmee het zich voortbewoog. Buraak vloog samen met Mohammed (v.z.m.h.) en Jibrail naar Jeruzalem. Op de berg van de tempel stopte Jibrail. Op het plein boven op de heuvel zaten Mozes, Jesaja, Jezus en nog vele andere profeten (vrede zij met hen allen). Na met hen gebeden te hebben klom Mohammed (v.z.m.h.) met behulp van een ladder, een meraj, naar de zeven hemelen. In de zevende, hoogste hemel zag hij Allah. Daarna keerde hij terug naar Mekka, waar niemand zijn verhaal geloofde. Deze overlevering heeft ervoor gezorgd dat voor moslims Jeruzalem, na Mekka, de heiligste stad is. Under each flag will be twelve thousand soldiers. Sahih Bukhari, Book 55, Number 585: Narrated Abu Dhar: I said, "O Allah's Apostle! Which mosque was first built on the surface of the earth?" Sahih Bukhari,, Book 60, Number 13: Narrated Al-Bara: The Prophet prayed facing Bait-ulMaqdis (i.e. Jerusalem) for sixteen or seventeen months but he wished that his Qibla would be the Ka'ba (at Mecca). (So Allah Revealed (2.144) and he offered 'Asr prayers(in his Mosque facing Ka'ba at Mecca) and some people prayed with him. A man from among those who had prayed with him, went out and passed by some people offering prayer in another mosque, and they were in the state of bowing. He said, "I, (swearing by Allah,) testify that I have prayed with the Prophet facing Mecca." Hearing that, they turned their faces to the Ka'ba while they were still bowing. Some men had died before the Qibla was changed towards the Ka'ba. They had been killed and we did not know what to say about them (i.e. whether their prayers towards Jerusalem were accepted or not). So Allah revealed:-- "And Allah would never make your faith (i.e. prayer) to be lost (i.e. your prayers offered (towards Jerusalem). Truly Allah is Full of Pity, Most Merciful towards mankind." (2.143) Sahih Bukhari, Book 69, Number 482: Narrated Abu Huraira: On the night Allah's Apostle was taken on a night journey (Miraj) two cups, one containing wine and the other milk, were presented to him at Jerusalem. He looked at it and took the cup of milk. Gabriel said, "Praise be to Allah Who guided you to Al-Fitra (the right path); if you had taken (the cup of) wine, your nation would have gone astray." Sahih Bukhari, Book 77, Number 610: Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: (regarding the Verse) "And We granted the vision (Ascension to the heavens "Miraj") which We showed you (O Muhammad as an actual eye witness) but as a trial for mankind.' (17.60): Allah's Apostle actually saw with his own eyes the vision (all the things which were shown to him) on the night of his Night Journey to Jerusalem (and then to the heavens). The cursed tree which is mentioned in the Qur'an is the tree of Az-Zaqqum. Sahih Muslim, Number 0309: It is narrated on the authority of Anas b. Malik that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: I was brought al-Buraq Who is an animal white and long, larger than a donkey but smaller than a mule, who would place his hoof a distance equal to the range of version. I mounted it and came to the Temple (Bait Maqdis in Jerusalem), then tethered it to the ring used by the prophets. I entered the mosque and prayed two rak'ahs in it, and then came out and Gabriel brought me a vessel of wine and a vessel of milk. And (the door of the heaven) was opened for us and lo! we saw Adam. He welcomed me and prayed for my good. Then we ascended to the second heaven. It was said: Has he been sent for? He replied: He has indeed been sent for. The gate was opened. When I entered 'Isa b. Maryam and Yahya b. Zakariya (peace be upon both of them), cousins from the maternal side. welcomed me and prayed for my good Then I was taken to the third heaven and Gabriel asked for the opening (of the door). He was asked: Who are you? He replied: Gabriel. He was (again) asked: Who is with you? He replied Muhammad (may peace be upon him). It was said: Has he been sent for? He replied He has indeed been sent for. (The gate) was opened for us and I saw Yusuf (peace of Allah be upon him) who had been given half of (world) beauty. He welcomed me prayed for my well-being. Then he ascended with us to the fourth heaven. Gabriel (peace be upon him) asked for the (gate) to be opened, and it was said: Who is he? He replied: Gabriel. It was (again) said: Who is with you? He said: Muhammad. It was said: Has he been sent for? He replied: He has indeed been sent for. The (gate) was opened for us, and lo! Idris was there. He welcomed me and prayed for my well-being (About him) Allah, the Exalted and the Glorious, has said:" We elevated him (Idris) to the exalted position" (Qur'an xix. 57). Then he ascended with us to the fifth heaven and Gabriel asked for the (gate) to be opened. It was said: Who is he? He replied Gabriel. It was (again) said: Who is with thee? He replied: Muhammad. It was said Has he been sent for? He replied: He has indeed been sent for. (The gate) was opened for us and then I was with Harun (Aaron-peace of Allah be upon him). He welcomed me prayed for my well-being. Then I was taken to the sixth heaven. Gabriel (peace be upon him) asked for the door to be opened. It was said: Who is he? He replied: Gabriel. It was said: Who is with thee? He replied: Muhammad. It was said: Has he been sent for? He replied: He has indeed been sent for. (The gate) was opened for us and there I was with Musa (Moses peace be upon him) He welcomed me and prayed for my well-being. Then I was taken up to the seventh heaven. Gabriel asked the (gate) to be opened. It was said: Who is he? He said: Gabriel It was said. Who is with thee? He replied: Muhammad (may peace be upon him.) It was said: Has he been sent for? He replied: He has indeed been sent for. (The gate) was opened for us and there I found Ibrahim (Abraham peace be upon him) reclining against the Bait-ul-Ma'mur and there enter into it seventy thousand angels every day, never to visit (this place) again. Then I was taken to Sidrat-ul-Muntaha whose leaves were like elephant ears and its fruit like big earthenware vessels. And when it was covered by the Command of Allah, it underwent such a change that none amongst the creation has the power to praise its beauty. Then Allah revealed to me a revelation and He made obligatory for me fifty prayers every day and night. Then I went down to Moses (peace be upon him) and he said: What has your Lord enjoined upon your Ummah? I said: Fifty prayers. He said: Return to thy Lord and beg for reduction (in the number of prayers), for your community shallnot be able to bear this burden. as I have put to test the children of Isra'il and tried them (and found them too weak to bear such a heavy burden). He (the Holy Prophet) said: I went back to my Lord and said: My Lord, make things lighter for my Ummah. (The Lord) reduced five prayers for me. I went down to Moses and said. (The Lord) reduced five (prayers) for me, He said: Verily thy Ummah shall not be able to bear this burden; return to thy Lord and ask Him to make things lighter. I then kept going back and forth between my Lord Blessed and Exalted and Moses, till He said: There are five prayers every day and night. O Muhammad, each being credited as ten, so that makes fifty prayers. He who intends to do a good deed and does not do it will have a good deed recorded for him; and if he does it, it will be recorded for him as ten; whereas he who intends to do an evil deed and does not do, it will not be recorded for him; and if he does it, only one evil deed will be recorded. I then came down and when I came to Moses and informed him, he said: Go back to thy Lord and ask Him to make things lighter. Upon this the Messenger of Allah remarked: I returned to my Lord until I felt ashamed before Him. Sunan abu dawud, Number 0457: Narrated Maymunah ibn Sa'd: I said: Apostle of Allah, tell us the legal injunction about (visiting) Bayt al-Muqaddas (the dome of the Rock at Jerusalem). The Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) said: go and pray there. All the cities at that time were effected by war. If you cannot visit it and pray there, then send some oil to be used in the lamps.
