Wat is het allemaal? Ik ben een tijdje uit enige wiskundige acitiviteiten geweest, en weet dus niet allemaal goed meer wat er bedoeld wordt met het volgende. Hopelijk weten jullie het en zouden jullie ook een voorbeeld of omschrijving kunnen geven van deze termen:

- Algebraic calculation: sum, product, quotient and involution (to different powers) and monomials.
- Use of exponents: whole or broken, positive and negative
- Multinomials: sum, product and quotient
- Division by x+a and x-a (calculation of remainder and quotient).
- Remarkable products
- Factorisation: eliminate the brackets, remarkable products, trinomials of the second degree, joining, divide by binomials.
- Calculation of the numerical value of an algebraic expression
- Reduction of rational fractions
- Resolution and discussion of an equation of the first degree with one unknown.
- Resolution and discussion of an equation of the second degree with one unknown
- Resolution and discussion of a system of two equations of the first degree with two unknowns.
- Resolution of inequalities and of systems of inequalities.
- Co-ordinates of points in a rectangular (orthogonal) co-ordinate system.
- First degree equation: equation of a straight line (y = ax + b: ux + vy + w = 0), direction coefficient, equation of a straight line through two given points, equation of a straight line through a given point and with a given direction coefficient, relation between the direction coefficients of two straight lines being at right angels, co-ordinates of the middle of a segment, graphic representation.
- Root forms of the second degree: definition, addition, deduction, multiplication, division, reduction, rationalisation of the denominator of a fraction.

- Logarithmic equations
- Exponential equations
- Theory about the limits
- Theory about the asymptotes
- Theory of the derivatives
- Study of the rational algebraic functions: definition field, equation of the asymptotes, calculation an study of the signs of the first and second derivatives, drawing up of the table with special values and course, graphic representation

- Measuring of angles and curves
- Definition of the goniometric values (sine, cosine, tangent and cotangent) in a goniometric circle.
- Conversion to the first quadrant
- Special values of the goniometric functions (for 30°, 45°, 60° and its multiples)
- Basic formulas comprising the formulas for sum and difference
- Resolution of rectangular triangles
- Resolution of random triangles
- Topographic applications

Ik vrees dat het toch gemakkelijker zal zijn dat je ergens een wiskundeboek of zo haalt of leent. Voglens mij heb je minstens 50 pagina's nodig om al die begrippen uit te leggen.

En kan je er misschien toch eens de dingen van wegschrappen die je wel al kent? Ik denk niet dat je op een forum nog moet gaan vragen wat de som van 2 getallen is...

Het begrip "meetbaar" heeft in de analyse een andere betekenis dan jij hier geeft, vandaar dat ik er de voorkeur aan zou geven om rational uitsluitend als rationaal te vertalen. In de maattheorie (een onderdeel van de analyse) wordt een maat gedefinieerd als een functie die aan een gegeven verzameling een reëel getal toevoegt. Indien zo'n functie bestaat noemen we de verzameling een meetbare verzameling. Een functie f heet in dat verband meetbaar als voor alle x uit het domein van f geldt, dat iedere verzameling {x|f(x) kleiner of gelijk aan c} voor alle waarden van c meetbaar is.
