To all the fans!

Hail fans of the mighty FINNTROLL!

With a great sorrow in my heart and soul I am forced to bring you this statement. I founded this band with my bloodbrother Somnium several years ago and as we gained other bloodbrothers in our excellent formation we have gone through many highs and lows. For me this last year, as you all know, has been part of a huge low due to a virus based tumor that unfortunately struck my vocal cords. I have had three operations now since december 2001 and the tumor has now spread into such an extent over the vocal cords that surgery cant be done without harming my voice permanently! There is another treatment available but it takes time and has several side-effects. Due to the desperate situation of me not gaining my voice from the last surgery I have decided to step aside from my position as vocalist in this great band! Nothing is yet decided about FINNTROLLs upcoming gigs and recordings. My fellow trolls will decide what is now in their hands concerning the future of the band and if it is possible in the future I WILL RETURN! Those who live under every root and stone have maybe planned something different for my future, who knows? Maybe one day I will stand victorious on the stage with my brothers again. But for know my vocalist position in FINNTROLL is physically impossible! I thank every soul who have enjoyed my performances live and loved our music through our recordings in the past as well as in the future. Remember, fellow fans that nothing else than death is certain...

With a huge trollish howl I leave this group that means everything to me. Stay true to the old ways and WE SHALL OVERCOME! I would like to thank my fellow bandmates and all fans!

Excellent formation, great band, dat kunnen we zelf wel bepalen lijkt me..

Maar goed, desdanks vind ik dit zwaar minder voor haar en de fans.. is (of was?) een bandje met toch wel een aantal lekkere nummers IMHO.

Wie gaat dat nou zeggen van zichzelf? Dat doet de depressiefste gothband nog niet. Om jezelf nou met dat soort woorden de lucht in te prijzen in een fokkin' nieuwsbericht.. yuckyuck..

ik zie et probleem niet zo?

je mag toch best zeggen dat je errug tevreden bent over je eigen band?

Idd, is meer kennis van zaken dan uit de hoogte doen. Waarom zou je objectief naar je eigen band kijken en niet naar anderen?

Ja natuurlijk mag je dat zijn, maar moet je dat dan op zo'n manier uiten? Je hoeft andere toch niet te overtuigen van je kunnen in een pers/nieuwsbericht! Dat kunnen ze zelf ervaren door ernaar te luisteren. Het is gewoon puur reclame, klaar uit. En dat vind ik niet koel, zeker niet in een newsflash en nog meer zeker niet als die newsflash minder leuk nieuws brengt in dit geval: wie zegt dat ze nu nog steeds zo goed zijn? Het is aan de luisteraar om dat te gaan bepalen, niet aan hen.

zouden ze dan weer met die vervang zanger gaan?

Zo lang ze maar allemaal te zien zijn op DOA. Helaas voor zijn tumor, das altijd kut.

hebben ze dan nog getoured met de 'echte' zanger, sinds hij tijdelijk weg is geweest vanwege operatie

op metalfest was na mijn weten toch die invaller...die niet slecht was imho

Finntroll's Future

What can I say folks, shit happens!!! And this shit seems far larger than any shit I've seen ever before. Not only did we lose a great vocalist, but I also lost one of my best friends in the band. I really don't know what to say. We founded this band together with Katla, and it feels so fucking bad to see him leaving us, but he really didn't have any choice. I refuse to accept that he's gone for good, and I'm looking forward for a day when he'll join us once again! We'll still do the fest's in this summer with an session vocalist, so none of the gigs are cancelled. We had some plans that I will take care of the vocals until Katla is able to return. Just remember one thing; We won't stop, no matter what!!!

ik hoorde tijdje terug ja, wel jammer

maar ik heb beide cd's met Katla, en ik heb Finntroll nog live gezien met Katla d'r bij op Wacken.....

Er komt vast wel een goeie nieuwe zanger bij!
