soul,blues en jazz
 

ik kan muziekstijlen nooit uit elkaa rhouden,wat is nu juist verschillend tussen deze 3 stijlen? Hoe herken je wat nu soul,blues en jazz is?

Download een album van james brown (soul), lightning hopkins (blues) en charles mingus (jazz).

Dan hoor je duidelijk het verschil in ritme, instrumentatie, zang, etc.
En heb je meteen 3 heersers op je harddisk staan.

jazz is meer ritmisch geloofde ik indeed,mr ligt toch in het verlengde van de andere 2 enigzins?

Soul, blues, jazz en funk kunnen elkaar inderdaad wel overlappen ja.

James brown was ook al complex qua ritmes trouwens. Even opgezocht of het internet het daar mee eens was:

Jazz heeft ook alles te maken met ritme natuurlijk inderdaad, vaak wat vrijer, en veel meer swinggggg (losser).

jazz gebruikt vaak compleet andere accoorden dan soul en blues, en is ook veel meer improvisatie gericht. Soul en blues liggen wel vrij dicht bij elkaar.

Natuurlijk is er gigantisch veel overlap bij sommige artiesten.

Koop een gitaar en ga die verschillende stylen spelen... dan merk je wel het verschil :)

Oja, jazz is ook niet echt in 1 hokje te passen. Het is meer een naam voor iets wat een gevoel is wat je naar buiten brengt over een bepaald akkoorden schema. Het is dus meer van geef het "hondje" een naam... en dat heet dus jazz.

Echte jazz klassiekers zijn bv Autumn Leaves en Summertime en over dat schema kun je spelen wat je wilt. Wil je een blues solo er over heen spelen dan maak je er meer een blues iets van. Het zelfde geld bij soul, latin, fusion, rock, funk etc.... en dan krijg je een totaal anders iets...
