General format:

The Amazing Race is a Reality program featuring 11 teams of 2 (12 in the third and fourth seasons) racing around the world for a cash prize of $1,000,000. The teams compete in thirteen legs traveling all over the world. In most legs the last team to arrive at the pit stop is eliminated. When only three teams remain in the race, they compete in a final leg. The team in first place is the winner of $1,000,000 and the winner of The Amazing Race.


The Amazing Race 9 --- The Amazing Race returned on February 28, 2006 at its normal time of Tuesday, 9 P.M. with an exciting two-hour premiere. The show now moves to 10 P.M. on Tuesdays following, The Unit, beginning on March 7. Following the Family Edition, viewers were generally excited by the return of the exciting pace of the normal program, with over 70,000 miles of world-travelling action and the normal format of teams-of-two, each "with an existing relationship." The teams are:

Lake and Michelle Garner: They are a married couple --- Lake is a dentist, while Michelle is a busy Mom of three kids. She also works part-time with Lake.

Danielle Turner and Dani Torchio: Friends for ten years and recent college graduates. Team "Pink"

BJ Averell and Tyler MacNiven: Best friends who sailed the world together. Adventurous spirits and searching for fun.

Ray Whitty and Yolanda Brown-Moore: Have been dating for five years. Ray is a lawyer, Yolanda was teaching science and math before she moved in with Ray.

John Lowe and Scott Braginton-Smith: Best friends who have traveled the United States together, but not the world --- as John has a strong fear of flying!

David Spiker and Lori Willems: Dating --- David is a musician whose band has released three CDs; Lori is an assistant manager at a Pizza Hut.

Eric Sanchez and Jeremy Ryans: Best friends --- Jeremy is well-traveled, but Eric has little travel experience outside the United States.

Fran and Barry Lazarus: Married for over forty years --- both retired --- Fran intends to prove that the "oldsters" can compete just as well as 25-year-olds on The Amazing Race.

Lisa Hinds and Joni Glaze: Sisters reunited after twenty years --- both married mothers.

Joseph Meadows and Monica Cayce: Dating for three years --- Monica is hoping to pay off student loans, but both are also hoping to bond for life.

Wanda Lopez-Rochford and Desiree Cifre --- A mother and daughter. Looking to win the race, but also want to learn more about different cultures.

Echt een fav heb ik niet, maar vind die hippies en die oudjes wel zwaar oke !!

Een soort van Peking Express?

zoiets ja.. alleen veeel leuker

Maar het is zeker iets wat je download en niet iets wat op tv komt?

nou niet in nederland nee

Erg leuke serie.
Alleen dit seizoen is niet echt boeiend jammer genoeg (n)
Seizoen 6 en 7 waren het best.
Vooral met rob en amber van survivor :)
Die kunnen pas goed manipuleren (y)

nou ik vind het echt een leuk seizoen

vind die oudjes vooral echt knap

echt hulde hoe ze die waterval omhoog zijn geklommen


die familie editie van vorig seizoen was wel minder

Die oudjes lopen ook altijd 4 keer de cluebox voorbij (y)

En lake is echt een klootzak (n)

omg ja

ik zou echt nooit met hem trouwen


hoe hij zijn vrouw behandeld... heeeel dominant.. ze heeft echt geen inspraak

toch nog ff uppen

die ouwe ging bungy jumpen echt: RESPECT !!!!


verder.. zijn ze gewoon op ditmoment 1e !!!

en vet kut voor die hippys.. maar die komen er nog wel

jah moet ook maar os weer is gaan kijken, loop 3 aflevering achter.

Maar heb het wel al gelezen, ze zeiden vooral phil ze gezicht toen ze aankwamen was super (y)
maar eerst maar even survivor gaan kijken. :)

lol ja ik heb gister ook 3 eps achter elkaar gekeken

En de hippies winnen de amazing race hadden ze ook best wel recht ze waren toch het hele seizoen eerste of tweede net zoals de frats.
En nog best erg spannende aflevering.
had nooit verwacht dat die gast japans kon praten :)
Nou weer wachten op seizoen 10.
