Underworld naar Nederland

UTRECHT/AMSTERDAM - 20-06-2007 - De Britse band Underworld geeft op 9 november een concert in de Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam. De kaartverkoop begint zaterdag, zo liet concertorganisator Mojo woensdag weten. De formatie was in 2005 voor het laatst in Nederland.

Underworld komt dit jaar met een nieuw album Oblivion With Bells, het eerste in vier jaar tijd. Born Slippy, van de soundtrack van de film Trainspotting, is de grootste hit van Underworld.

In 013 betaalde ik 40 euro. En ik blijf het een festival band vinden. Dan is het helemaal in z'n element.

Ze staan ook op I love techno hoor ik net, dat vind ik dan meer het overwegen waard.

Een kaartje is 34 euro exclusief.

hmhmmhh. het is wel heel erg leuk live.

Eerst maar eens kijken of er een november editie van Awakenings is. Maar hoe vet was Underworld een paar jaar geleden op 5daysoff!

die (laatste?) plaat 100 days off draai ik nog wel eens. lijkt me leuk om te zien, maar dan eerder op een festival.

1 van die gasten was trouwens laatst naar het ziekenhuis geslagen hoorde ik.

Pioneering electronic dance group Underworld were forced to cancel their performance alongside Madness and the Beastie Boys at the Ejekt Festival in Athens, Greece on Saturday, June 16 after member Rick Smith was injured as a result of a riot that broke out at the festival.

According to a press release, 30 masked individuals identified as "anarchists" and armed with tear gas, iron bars, and baseball bats stormed the site of the festival during the Beastie Boys' performance around 11:20 p.m. The group burned cars, damaged property, and forced authorities to evacuate the stadium, seriously injuring several people, including Smith, in the process.

Smith was hospitalized in Athens, but he has since returned to the UK for further treatment. All signs from the Underworld camp seem to point toward a full recovery on his part in time for the rest of the group's summer tour dates.
