Ik ben megapsyched. Beter compressie, sidechainen eindelijk mogelijk, video warpen(!), meerdere automation 'lanes' onder elkaar (ok ik geef toe, dat was ook nog een gemis), rex loops integratie enz enz enz. Andere sequencers hebben vast nog wel voordelen wanneer veel instrumenten opgenomen worden, maar ik denk dat dit de ultieme sequencer wordt voor electronische muziek.

NEW ABLETON INSTRUMENTS

The new add-on instruments are the result of Ableton's collaboration
with leading industry partners. The palette covers physical models of
electric pianos, analog synthesizers and string instruments as well as
multi-mic/multilayer sampled acoustic drums, drum machines,
orchestral strings, brass, woodwinds and percussion. The instruments
integrate tightly into Live, both in terms of workflow and resource
management.
* TENSION is a physical modeling string synthesizer based on the
advanced technology found in String Studio from Applied Acoustics
Systems (AAS, http://www.applied-acoustics.com). Through the use of
mathematical models, Tension simulates each component of a stringed
instrument. Tweak everything from how the string is played—with a
pick, bow or hammer—to the size and type of instrument body used.
Create incredibly accurate reproductions of real instruments or
design otherworldly hybrids, all within Live's familiar working
environment.
* ELECTRIC offers the much sought-after sounds of classic electric
pianos. Based on AAS's acclaimed Lounge Lizard, Electric uses the
same advanced physical modeling synthesis technology and integrates
perfectly into Live's workflow. Because Electric uses synthesis,
users can dive inside and play with the guts of the instrument—the
hammers, tines, pickups and more—to achieve just that right amount

Version 7 - ein neues Herz für Live
* Die überarbeitete Audio-Engine bietet eine gesteigerte

* Hardware ist jetzt nahtlos in Live integrierbar: Hardware-
Synthesizer und -Effekte lassen sich wie Software-Plug-Ins in

* Eine neue Speicherverwaltungs-Technologie erlaubt es den Anwendern
großer Sample-Libraries - wie den neuen gesampelten Instrumenten von
Ableton oder über Sampler importierten Libraries anderer Hersteller

verwenden. Dazu müssen Sie keinerlei Einstellungen vornehmen;
Live sorgt automatisch für optimale Speicherausnutzung.
* Neue Audio- und MIDI-Artikel erklären im Detail, wie Signale
verändert (oder eben nicht verändert) werden, wenn Sie bestimmte
Funktionen in Live verwenden und geben Tipps, wie Sie die
bestmöglichen Ergebnisse erzielen.
Was sich unsere Anwender am häufigsten von Live gewünscht haben -
Live 7 hat es:
* Wechsel der Taktart können in das Arrangement eingefügt und mit
Session-Szenen verknüpft werden.
* Sowohl gewarpte als auch nicht gewarpte Videos können als Dateien
exportiert werden.
* Pro Spur können mehrere Automationsspuren gleichzeitig angezeigt und
bearbeitet werden.
* Eine neue "Tempo Nudge"-Funktion macht es einfacher, Live auf der
Bühne zu Musikern oder DJs zu synchronisieren.

sonstiges virtuelles Instrument oder Plug-In zuordnen, ebenso wie
eine eigene Effektkette.
* Die Slicing-Funktion füllt ein Drum Rack mit den einzelnen Sounds
einer REX-Datei oder eines Audio-Loops. Die Originalsequenz liegt
als MIDI-Clip vor, so dass sich die Events problemlos ersetzen,
durcheinanderwürfeln oder neu aufnehmen und natürlich auch einzeln
bearbeiten lassen.

Electric nutzt die gleichen ausgefuchsten Physical-Modeling-
Algorithmen wie Lounge Lizard von AAS und fügt sich perfekt in Lives
Workflow ein. Da Electric auf Synthese basiert, können die Anwender
in die Tiefen des Instrumentes eintauchen und seine Bestandteile
manipulieren - Hämmer, Stimmstäbe, Abnehmer usw. - um genau das

* ANALOG emuliert die charakteristischen Schaltkreise klassischer
