Dinsdag 27 juni weer 3 folk/singersong-parels; Meg Baird uit de USA, Sharron Kraus uit Engeland en Olaf en z'n vrienden uit Leiden.

Sharron Kraus is een Britse folkzangeres. Ze vertelt verhalen over fatale vrouwen, perversiteit, incest, liefde en dood. Ze wisselt moeiteloos tussen balladeering met banjo's en underground folk met gitaar. [NORML]www.myspace.com/sharronkraus[/NORML]

Meg Baird maakt klassieke, zeventigerjaren folk die je eerder in Engeland zou verwachten dan in de USA. Haar voorliefde voor oude folkliedjes laat ze horen op haar solodebuut 'Dear Companion', waarop ze naast twee eigen nummers, negen covers en traditionals heeft verzameld. Long Conversations and the Closet Orchestra, prijswinnende & geïmporteerde rising star uit Leiden. Hij trad al eerder solo op als support voor Rivulets. Deze keer neemt hij zijn "Closet Orchestra" mee die zijn mooie liedjes voorzien van bass, cello en minimale drums. Een vergelijk vind ik zo snel niet, wel qua slechte grappen; in het straatje van Roy Santiago. Wij zijn fan. [NORML]www.myspace.com/longconversations[/NORML]
