Failure of Heart
 

This heart was once strong, peaceful, kind,
Radiating energy you could only find
In light, the type of place to create
Good fortune, and a happy fate.


Something happened, we don't know why,
But this heart simply failed to try.
Without love, it started to cry,
Without life, it started to die.
It found death comforting, yet it needed a partner,
To share in its path of darkness farther.
It searched far, trying to find
A counterpart ready to follow behind.
It failed in this too, in utter dismay,
It ended its existence in a gruesome way.
Failure of heart, failure of love,
This is my heart, and you are my love.
