Weapon possession in United States

Introduction:
There is no other country in the world so loved but also hated so as the United States. It is the land of extremes. Despite the many shootings in which many citizens and especially teenagers become victims of, gun possession is still not restricted. It is sometimes so bad that when you open a bank account you get a weapon of your choise and a bullet you can buy at a supermarket. Many people give the weapon possession the debt, others find this nonsense. Therefore the various positions in a row.

proponents arms possession:
America is the land of the most murders per capita. There are approximately 22,000 murders committed each year. There are approximately 80,000,000 weapons in circulation. Known incidents involving weapons are those of Columbine High School and later of the University of Virginia where a South Korean 33 people in a school shoot dead. Opponents giving the legal weapon possession the debt. Everyone can get a weapon in America. The bullets can be bought in supermarkets. The many incidents in schools and among young people with weapons find they come by to easy getting these weapons. The weapon lobby is stop this ban and they look to countries like some in Europe and Canada where weapons are not Legal and a lot less murders take place.

opponents arms possession:
Opponents call this nonsense. The Supporters of free gun possession have united themeself and call the changing mentality as a cause of rising murders. Even proponents argue that prohibition of weapon possession is a impossible thing. According to their, take such ban affects the good citizens and the evil will still have come to these weapons. Furthermore, said they that it is a right for citizens to arm themselves and so they can protect their property. So they want that weapon possession is legally remains

Conclusion:
All in all, it seems an endless discussion. Both the parties have their positions clear. The opponents against weapon possession seize the high homicide numbers to the legality of weapons and point to examples of other countries. Proponents of gun possession point to the impossible case of the ban and the right to defend your own. As long as there are murders and weapons they seem never to agree to each other.

The United States is the most loved, but also the most hated country in the world.

But that's just me...

Nick1991 28-09-2008 19:54

inderdaad klinkt stuk beter

Posession of weapons in the United States

Introduction:

The United States is the most loved, but also the most hated country in the world. It's an extreme country. Possession of weapons is still not restricted, despite the many shoot-outs where many people (especially teenagers) became victim of. Sometimes it's so worse that you get a free weapon when you open a bank account. And the bullets you can buy in the local supermarket. Many people blame the possession of weapons, other people don't. That's why I put the various opinions in a row below.

Possesion of weapons from opponents:

The United States is the country that has the most killings per capita. There are about 22,000 killings committed each year and there are about 80,000,000 weapons in circulation. Known incidents with weapons are those at Columbine High School and at the University of Virginia, where a South Korean guy murdered 33 people inside a school. Opponents blame the legal possesion of weapons. Everyone can get a weapon in the United States and the bullets can be bought in local supermarkets. According the opponents that's the reason of the many killings in the United States. The weaponbusiness tries to stop this ban and searches for other countries, for example in Europe and Canada, where even though weapons are illegal a lot of people are killed. Opponents call this nonsense.

Posession of weapons from defenders:

The supporters from free possesion of weapons are united with each other and they call the changing mentality a cause of rising killings. Defenders argue that prohibition from possession of weapons is impossible. They think that, despite of the bans, people will still buy weapons. (?) They say that it is a right for each citizen to protect himself or his property. So they want to keep the possesion of weapons legal. (?)

Conclusion:

All in all, it seems to be an endless discussion. Both groups have their own opinion. The opponents are against posession of weapons, they blame it for the many killings and they want to imitatie countries where weapons are not legal. (?) Defenders from posession of weapons want to keep the right to defend yourself. (?) As long as there are weapons and killings the opponents and the defenders don't seem to agree with each other.

'worse' moet hier 'bad' zijn. 'worse' betekent 'erger', de vergrotende trap dus.
bad=slecht/erg
worse=slechter/erger

Weapon possesion in the United States

Introduction:

Citaat:

It's(<<samentrekking) an extreme country(klinkt vreemd, je bedoelt waarschijnlijk een land van extremen). Possesion of weapons is still not restricted, despite the many shoot-outs where many people (especially teenagers) became victim of.
Citaat:

Sometimes it's even that bad that you get a free weapon when you open a bank account.
Waarnaar verwijst it?(foutieve verwijzing)

Citaat:

And the bullets you can buy in the local supermarket.
Gebruik passive!
Het gebruik van you is fout!
IK open geen bankaccount.
IK koop geen kogels.
Hou het onpersoonlijk! Gebruik de lijdende vorm of people.

Citaat:

Sometimes it's even that bad
Dan die zin met worse.
Iets van: "It's even so worse" (worse is overtreffend en met "such" en "that" weet ik het niet zeker.

All in all, it seems an endless discussion. Both parties made their positions clear.
