Voor 2010 ook remakes van RoboCop (1987) en Clash of the Titans (1981). Deze laatste kijk ik naar uit.

Het volgende verbaast, amuseert of irriteert me:
Friday the 13th Overbodig. Doe gewoon een vervolg. The Pink Panther 2 Was de eerste remake niet een behoorlijke flop? Star Trek Die wordt denk ik wel leuk. Untitled Brüno Project Wordt ook goed. H2: Halloween 2 De eerste remake was troep, waarom dit nou weer? Hellraiser Wederom overbodig, terwijl een goed vervolg welkom zou zijn. The Last House on the Left Hm, apart. Hier ben ik wel benieuwd naar. Al wordt het hoogstwaarschijnlijk troep. Alice in Wonderland Dit wordt wel leuk. A Nightmare on Elm Street Opnieuw, waarom? Gewoon deel negen maken. Sin City 2 Hier kijk ik naar uit. Untitled Karate Kid Remake Wtf. :D Ik wist het al, maar het was te ongelooflijk om in mijn hoofd te blijven dus ik moest er weer verrast om lachen. De rest kan me niks schelen. Hoewel ik het wel jammer vind hoe veel vervolgen en remakes er gemaakt worden. En sowieso, wie heeft er zin om al die superheldenfilms te gaan zien? Op een gegeven moment ben je dat toch wel zat. |

The stepfather? Die is helemaal niet aan een remake toe. Alleraardigst filmpje, weinig meer mee te doen dan destijds gebeurde.

Dragonball is toch geen remake van de oude?
(volgens mij is doe oude eigenlijk ook helemaal geen "officiële" dragonball film) maar aangezien spin-offs en gerelateerde films er ook tussen staan mogen deze er ook wel bij denk ik: Ant-Man (2010) The Flash (2010) Thor (2010) Superman: man of steel (2011) Wonderwoman (2011) The first Avenger: captain America(2011) en als die er zijn kunnen DC en Marvel hun teams opstellen: The Avengers (2011) Justice League: Mortal (2011) Bij Ant-Man zou het gaan om 2 van de 3 versies die er ooit van zijn geweest, dus Ant-Men eigenlijk. De Captain America film zou gaan over WO II. Hoe meer hoe beter. En dat meen ik serieus. Remakes, daarentegen, moeten alleen beperkt worden tot films die aarszuigend beroerd zijn, zoals I Spit on Your Grave en Last House on The Left. |
En ik wist het natuurlijk al, maar ik blijf me verbazen over het feit dat Pixar een vervolg maakt op uitgerekend Cars. Het is hun zwakste film tot op heden.

Sequels van oude films a lá rambo, rocky, indiana jones, met dezelfde acteurs vind wel weer idioot. |

Alleen van de films die genoemd worden is er geen één bij die echt mijn interesse wekt. Nou ja, POTC 4 zal ik tegen de tijd heus wel gaan zien en als Final Destination op tv komt zal ik hem ook wel kijken. Maar echt nodig dat daar een vervolg op komt, neuh. |

Remakes zijn echt walgelijke producten. Zelden tot nooit zijn ze beter dan het origineel (zelfs slechter). Redundante onzin is het.
Sequels vind ik wel kunnen, maar het hele aspect van uitmelken dat eraan kleeft doet mij twijfelen aan de kwaliteit van de meeste. Vooral dit is tenenkrommend: - Death Wish: niet dat het origineel zo sterk was, maar Charles Bronson was het gezicht van de reeks. Wat voegt een remake toe? - Escape from New York: remake met wie? Kom op zeg, het origineel is verre van verouderd en staat als een huis. - Hellraiser: een nieuw deel, okee. Maar een remake van deel 1? ;\ - Porky's: wtf. - Karate Kid: origineel is steviger dan een remake ooit zou kunnen zijn. - Nightmare on Elmstreet: slaat nergens op. - The Birds: verkrachting van een klassieker. Net als de Psycho-"remake" verwacht ik hier ook niks van. Night at the Museum 2, Fast and the Furious 3, Final Destination 4, H2, Transformers 2, Crank 2, Saw VI worden instant-bagger omdat de voorgaande delen al crap waren. |

Nou op zich is het niet raar dat ze The Hellbound Heart nu ECHT accuraat gaan verfilmen, vooral omdat Clive Barker het zelf graag wil. Ik voel er eigenlijk ook wel wat voor. Maar aan de andere kant, Doug Bradley = Pinhead, en Pinhead is een horroricoon. Die laat zich niet zo makkelijk vervangen door een nieuweling. Zelfde geldt voor Freddy Krueger.

Sommige films uit 1980 ogen gedateerd, andere niet. Films uit een bepaalde tijd die inspelen op de cultuur en mode van die tijd zullen vaak wel gedateerd ogen terwijl een film met een tijdloos design (surrealistisch of impressionistisch, denk aan Caligari of Faust of The Seventh Seal) dat niet doet.
