Hello folks...
My dutch is not that well yet so i write in english...... Im searching for a small woning or a big kamer in Nijmegen... I will start studying in September this year but i want to be there as fast as possible... All the websites i visited need to be payed to contact the announcers which is very difficult when you live in germany and its a rip off to.... So does anybody her really know a newspaper or a site where i can directly find announces with telephonenumbers or maybe somebody of you folks has a nice big kamer or a small woning to offer... ???? Imust say that i diddnt expect nijmegen to be that expensive... I mean who can afford a 10m² room for 250€ as a student ???? Shame on the Housekeepers.... Please Help folks... I need to get out of grey grey Germany..... |

Already signed in on this website? It's also available in English and German. :) If you're lucky you get a room at the moment your course starts, if you're not, then within a view months I guess. |
You're really really early with your search for a room... 250€ is very cheap, most rooms are about € 300 of more. You should try responding to rooms on kamernet.nl around june and then try to get invited.

I have a room from the sshn. A lot of people living here are german.
But, 3 years ago, when I signed up for a room in april, I had to wait untill december before I was placed. People who live more than a two-hour journey away (by train), get placed first. but it can take a while. It seems the easiest option to me, and the cheapest. But the rooms are not big. |

It's also very common here for websites to charge a small fee for contacting the announcers and usually those fees aren't high at all. If I recall correctly the fee per advertisement on Kamernet.nl was 0,60, that's nothing. Since you're from Germany it'll be harder for you to find a room that isn't placed on the internet. However, if you plan to study in Holland for a longer period of time you could consider to take a room that is a bit more expensive and continue searching while you live in Nijmegen. It'll be easier to find another room when you have a network of friends and have access to newspapers and advertisements in supermarkets. There is no guarantee of course. Citaat:
