The scars on my heart
They still show the pain I've known
My heart has built a wall around itself
It knows it cannot handle another scar
not handle it without breaking

The wall my heart has built
is thick and has no weakness in it
That's what my heart believed
But my heart was wrong

You found a weakness in the wall
And you were able to work your way through

I like you and I hate you
for stepping through
It shows me that I'm worth it
It shows me that I am scared
Scared of what the future may bring

If you should ever leave my heart
be sure to fill the weakness in the wall
so my heart can break without anyone knowing.
