A helping hand
 

A simple flower stands dully in a garden
For her the sun does not shine
She has begun to wither over time
Without the sun's brilliant glow
That simple flower cannot grow
Her petals fallen and worn
Her smile so forlorn
People stamp on her roots
With their heavy boots
She stands weakly behind rest
Constantly scoffed at by the best
Then a little girl came by
And said little flower please don't cry
I'll make some light for you
So you can grow tall and pretty too
So that little girl made the light shine bright
So that little flower would not have to put up such a fight
And that simple flower grew
Into a delightful view
She was taller then the rest
Lovelier than the best
People stopped to stare
Memorized by her elegant glare
And for the rest of her time
All that flower did was shine
