The desert in the forest
 

What's the point of waiting
Fighting, holding back, pushing
When total happiness is within reach
I only have to reach out and grab it
And I can have all I ever wanted
And I do want it
I've got to have it
But I don't want to rush it
But then again
Once I'll have to get over my fear
Why not now I need to
Once I was a flourishing forest
But the forest dried out
Slowly turned into a desert
Because I stopped the skies from raining
Just to prevent the flood
The rain has flooded the forest so many times before
But every once in a while some rain must fall
And slowly I can feel some drops again
But still I'm holding back
If you can get me to stop doing that
And help me find a balance
Between flood and desert
So the forest can live on
I promise
I'll be yours forever
