`The Darkest Night`

The Darkest Night

As the darkest night lifts up its lids,
in which sins took prudency,
to see a young but perceptive girl,
from whom fear became her legacy,

How could he, the stronger one,
raise his child like this,
or breaking as it must have been,
as he tore down her bliss,

Vacantly ignorance is his property,
as he indulges in his own agony,
he slowly drowns his misery,
in her weeping suffery,

The darkest night in which no light had shone,
was not as dark though as his crimes,
as falling tears turned her heart to stone,
cries followed as a rhyme,

Even the moon had faded into the night,
and had become a darkened eye,
only three could tell the fight,
which like forever had gone by,

Her tears were red as blood,
her words as silent as the night,
as he frightened her like no-one could,
there was nobody to see the light,

Finally the tearing stopped,
as she cried herself to sleep,
what hours seemed when she was robbed,
were just her pains so deep,

For he had stopped the tearing from
his evil lonely eyes,
by inflicting pain upon his child
so quiet in the night,

But coming to from psycho mood,
when on his bed he lies,
guilty about her tearing red like blood,
for she slowly dies,

So now he feels a bigger pain,
and has gained more to suffucate,
both have now enduring stains,
which won't ever fade,

As another night lifts up her lids,
in which more pain was gained,
they both felt it would never stop,
their misery sustained

Heel mooi en ook een heel fijn "ritme"zit in het gedicht...(tis niet een herkenbare situatie voor mij).....maar zo mooi om te lezen!
