Walking Away

I walk away
because when everyone is gone
no one stays
you can keep saying
you don't need anyone
but I ask:
why?
aren't you tired of the dark corner?
aren't you tired of running with no where to go?
aren't you tired of a cold breath?
aren't you tired of crying?
don't you want to hold someone's hand?
how do you know that you can't trust someone
if you won't look into their eyes?
you can trust me
th only thing I want to take away from you
is your pain
you have much to gain
and nothing more to lose
I see in you what you don't see
so let my eyes be your mirror;
You see a torn girl
all fucked up
I saw a beautiful girl
with youth vibrant, glowing and warm
like some kind of magical fairy
when you laughed
I laughed
when you smiled
it made me feel good
feel the warmth of my hand
and think what it means
not just how it feels
I kept walking away
when someone was there
and I always ended up lonely;
I want to run..
into her arms
where I have some where to go
not just because I'm lonely
but because I want to be happy..
I want to know it's possible to be happy
when you share and care
and when you're there
because that's where I want to be;
