You seem so young, so full of life
Like you've never been around
But I see the old man in your eyes
And I can hear that scary sound

Your heartbeat grows weaker every day
As you turn paler by the hour
And I feel there's so much left to say
So many memories are ours

We've had a thousand years together
Now all that's left are days
Father, I should know you better
But all I see, is an old man's face

Well, they don't know you as I do
They see a young man going strong
But only I can see the truth
As an old man returns home

Only I can see the bloodstains
On your pillow every night
And it's me, who sees your pain
When you're fighting for your life

ik wil ff toevoegen, dat dit niet meer is... het is een gedicht van een tijd terug (ruim anderhalf jaar alweer, time flies) en ik heb het er toen nooit op durven zetten... nu gaat het allemaal goed hoor

hopen dat het zo blijft
