Beta 2 RC1 Released to Team

This means the official release is just around the corner; we just need to clean up a few bugs, polish it off, and its good to go! First off, we've had a major problem with leaks of our IRs this week, and its even gone so far as to have gaming websites post news that Beta 2 has been released. (Thanks Jon) On the development side of things, you may have heard that we were going to delay TO because of the leaks. We've decided to do nothing of the sort. However (as crazy as this sounds), Shag has really been busy with his class work (yes, we have real lives, remember?), and just hasn't had the time to work on RC1 this week. Since Shag is our lead coder, the development cycle will have to be pushed back. This means that Beta 2 will not be released before the end of the month. Yeah, I know we promised...and the team wants (if not more than the public does) to get Beta 2 out to the public. So we're sorry, but it's just not going to happen. Beta 2 should still be released very soon...it's not going to be a long wait...it's just around the corner. RC1 (the Release Candidate) is still due to be released to the team this weekend, which means that the final version isn't far at all. Keep watching the site though. I'll be making a cool update today with some really great eyecandy, as we've redone one of our weapons. Try to guess which one! |

Beta 2 RC2 Released to Team
Sunday, 8 July 2001. 7:39 PM | Posted by rojazz Sorry for the lack of updates...but we're just working hard on finding bugs (while Shag is the one nailing them out). Anyways, RC2 was released to the team earlier today, and it knocked out a lot of the problems from RC1. Unfortunately, some issues still remain, but I'm proud to say that it's still a big step forwards. Some of RC2's changes were that the Alpine model was switched from the Special Forces to the Terrorists (since many people thought it was a Terrorist model to begin with), other skins have been optimized, the action menu was tweaked, and a bunch of map bugs (BSP holes, texture glitches, scenario text, etc...) have been fixed. |

TO Beta 2 Release Date
Wednesday, 11 July 2001. 6:43 PM | Posted by rojazz Well, you've been waiting over 9 months for it. The TO Team has been working on it for even longer, and its finally coming...tomorrow! The Tactical Ops Team is proud to announce Beta 2 will be released on Thursday, July 12, at 10:00 PM Central European Time (1:00 PM US Pacific, 4:00 PM US Eastern, 9:00 PM GMT)! Tactical Ops Beta 2 will be distributed in 4 different file types. The first is a Windows-Specific installer, which simplifies installing the mod on Windows 9x/Me/NT/2000. The second is a MacOS-Specific installer, which is a self extracting installer for the MacOS. The third will be the standard umod (usable by all platforms), and the final file type will be a manual install (recommended for servers and Linux based computers). All four files weigh in at about 105mb, and the mirrors to the files will be posted tomorrow at the said time. Beta 2 introduces tons of new features into Tactical Ops, as well as many highly anticipated maps like Monastery, Titanic, Scope, and Verdon. Seven new weapons will be added, as well as the new smoke grenades. We look forward to releasing Tactical Ops Beta 2 tomorrow, and we hope you'll join us on our IRC channel for a release party. German Interview With Shag

Rule #2 - NO porn links: this isn't the Tactical Ops masturbatorium. Rule #3 - Keep the complaining and grudging in private messages. Rule #4 - A boot is a warning: two strikes (kicks) and you're out (banned). Rule #5 - No spamming or scripts, only ops may use scripts. |

Lekkere mod, zeker weten.
Wel zwaar voor je Pc, waar ik normaal met UT ongeveer 60 fps haal, haal ik er nu nog maar 40. De maps zijn goed, zeker weten. Paar maps vind ik wel beetje onhandig gebouwd, zoals bijvoorbeeld RMS Titanic (erg groot, beetje tè) Models zijn ook lekker, ook over de wapens niks te klagen. jammer... http://forum.scholieren.com/frown.gif http://forum.scholieren.com/mad.gif ze hebben alleen maar op eye candy gelet dat is het dan ook maar echt lekker spelen doet het het niet ze hebben het een beetje té realistisch gemaakt, het is en blijft een spel, niet real life wapens zijn verneukt de maps zijn té mooi en dus eigenlijk te ingewikkeld zeker 3 kwart van alle maps op een paar na hadden ze weg kunnen laten, het spelet zich allemaal af waar de 2 teams het snelst bij elkaar kunnen komen vooral het aimen is te moeilijk zo is er geen reet aan ik denk dat zelfs in het echt nog makkelijker te aimen valt... http://forum.scholieren.com/frown.gif smoke nade slaat nergens op je ziet zelf ook nix dus wat schiet je er dan mee op? het zou op een paar plekken handig kunnen zijn, maar niet veel beetje dom ik ga weer instagibben denk ik jammer, heel jammer http://forum.scholieren.com/frown.gif |
