Dit gedicht gaat dus over opmerkingen die ik dagelijks te horen krijg, mijn overleden beste vriend...

People look at her like she's a freak
If they would know her they would see
A pretty girl without a smile
Staring at the sky

"What's so pretty way up there?"
they would ask but they don't care
"It's the silence" she would say
It doesn't matter anyway

If you could only be my eyes
If you were able to read my thoughts
If you would only take some time
You would know what's on my mind

Words could not describe the feeling
You can not touch it
You can not see it
All there is are clouds and air
You can not sense it but you know it's there

A pretty girl without a smile
Is staring at the sky
She is trying to figure out
Why people have to die

But the silence gets her nowhere
It all went to fast
But he found peace and happiness
And went to sleep for eternal rest

A pretty girl without a smile
Is staring at the trees
She is crying out for him
And wondering if he sees

People look at her like she's a freak

Staring at the sky and trees

Birds flew over the meadow
Where the pretty girl lay down
Her soul was flying through the air
Her body laying on the ground

Words could not describe the feeling
She couldn't touch him
She couldn't see him
All there is are clouds and air
She couldn't sense him
But he was there

Is staring at the sea
"I hate God for what He is,
I wish He'd chosen me"

mmm, prachtig... heel simpel, maar goed uitgewerkt, nergens kreupel, mooi Engels, en ik voel het in mijn buik...

@ the gedicht: heel mooi, alleen de 6^e strofe is niet zo, had je er voor het gedicht misschien beter uit kunnen laten... maarja misschien voor jezelf niet...
