We Will Rock You
 

Vorig jaar is in London de musical We Will Rock You in première gegaan. De musical is gebaseerd op de muziek van Queen, maar het verhaal is nieuw, zonder enige link naar de band.

Wat denken jullie? Zou je er heen gaan? Ben je er al heen geweest? Wordt dit een succes? Gaat de musical ook in Nederland geproduceerd worden?

Ik hoop het niet, want ik vind queen echt walgelijk... en ik zit echt niet te wachten op een queen revival(n) En ik houd sowieso niet van musical. De combinatie van queen en musical is echt wansmaak(n) fouter kan het niet:p

lijkt me echt helemaal niks, een musical over queen. D'r zijn wel betere en leukere onderwerpen te verzinnen, lijkt mij!

It's a safe, happy, Ga Ga world. Unless you're a rebel. Unless you want to Rock. On Planet Mall all musical instruments are banned. The Company Computers generate the tunes and everybody downloads them. It is an age of Boy Bands and of Girl Bands. Of Boy and Girl Bands. Of Girl Bands with a couple of boys in them that look like girls anyway. Nothing is left to chance, hits are scheduled years in advance.

Caught in a landslide, no escape from reality

But Resistance is growing. Underneath the gleaming cities, down in the lower depths live the Bohemians. Rebels who believe that there was once a Golden Age when the kids formed their own bands and wrote their own songs. They call that time, The Rhapsody.

Open your eyes, look up to the skies and see

Legend persists that somewhere on Planet Mall instruments still exist. Somewhere, the mighty axe of a great and hairy guitar god lies buried deep in rock. The Bohemians need a hero to find this axe and draw it from stone.

Is the one who calls himself Galileo that man?

He’s just a poor boy. From a poor family

But the Ga Ga Cops are also looking for Galileo and if they get him first they will surely drag him before the Killer Queen and consign him to oblivion across the Seven Seas of Rye.

Inderdaad het gaat niet OVER Queen, maar ze gebruiken de muziek, en ik vond het echt super.
Ik ben er gistere geweest (net terug uit Londen), echt mooi en die decoor wisselingen (y)

Ik ben er ook naartoe geweest, en ik vond het 'verhaal' best slecht, maar de muziek maakt alles goed <3

Ik heb hem in Londen gezien met school, wel aardig. Lekker over-the-top, pseudo-rock 'n' roll en een paar leuke grappen (Ben Elton).

met school gezien in Londen, ik vond het echt heel leuk, alleen dat hele musicalsfeertje is natuurlijk al geweldig, maar die mensen zongen en speelden ook goed, en t was gewoon leuk :D
