Wie vind deze regisseur nog meer zo geweldig?

Afgelopen vrijdag True Romance gezien? Was voor mij de eerste keer dat ik deze film zag. Echt een geweldige film.

Ok natuurlijk ook Pulp Fiction. Om maar even een discussie te beginnen. Wat zat er in het koffertje?

Mijn theorie. In Reservoir Dogs gaat Mr. Pink er uiteindelijk met een koffer vol diamanten vandoor. Zal dat in Pulp Fiction terugkomen?

Ook geweldig dat dezelfde acteurs in zijn film terug komen.

Diamanten met een goud-gelige gloed..? Lijkt me meer iets van goud ofzo.

Maar ik vind Quentin Tarantino ook geweldig, vooral Pulp Fiction.

Quentin is briljant...kijk nu al uit naar Kill Bill

Reservoir dogs laatst weer eens gezien...mr Pink verdwijnt met de diamanten en als je goed luistert hoor je hem zeggen dat ie van de politie is...Nu kan ie of bullshit lullen of echt van de politie zijn...briljant...
Jackie Brown alleen nog niet gezien, ben ook nog niet zo lang fanaat

Script toch wel (of in ieder geval voor de helft)? Da's ook duidelijk te merken trouwens... zeker in die scene op het begin met de drie pimps die een goed gesprek over beffen hebben :D

Hij speelt zelf trouwens ook mee, als die kerel die dat blad (Time dacht ik) met een special over Elvis aan het lezen is.

De conversatie tussen Dennis Hopper en Christopher Walken vind ik 't meest typische Tarantino in die film.

Ja. Dat van From Dusk Till Dawn ook, speelt ie ook in mee.

In het koffertje van Pulp Fiction zit volgens mij gewoon goud...waarom zou het iets vreemds zijn?

Voor zover ik weet maakt hij films met geweldige dialogen, onverwachtse wendingen, humor en actie...Het is geen David Lynch bijv. Zoveel valt er niet achter te zoeken.Dat er een ziel in zit is leuk en aardig bedacht door iemand maar het slaat nergens op. Er is geen enkele reden om dat te geloven.


edit: Ik weet wat erin zit! Een McGuffin:

In his 1966 interview with director-film critic, Francois Truffaut, Alfred Hitchcock said:

In other words a McGuffin is a term for the device or plot element that catches the viewer's attention or drives the logic of the plot, especially in suspense films. According to Hitchcock, the McGuffin can be ignored as soon as it has served its purpose. Examples are the mistaken identity at the beginning of North by Northwest (1959) and the entire Janet Leigh subplot of Psycho (1960).
