biography The Spanish immigrant El Payos had spend years misusing public money. He attended schools for minimum tuition fees and refused to put any effort in studying. When the guilt finally struck his consciense, he decided to dedicate his life to helping the less priviledged. After developing a new infrastructure with the Dalai Lama for the Indian swamplands, he felt inspired and returned.
He found a new, enlightening form of expression by playing three powerchords over and over again in different variations of order and speed. The power of these revolutionairy and healing melodies, along with the gentle sound of a subtle distortion, were soon recognized by a local aerobics teacher. He had spend some time tightening asses of senior citizens and during stepclass he created a beat that went very well with the sweet, bedazzling sounds of Payos' guitar. His name being Mike, he came up with the bandname "Michael, Jack's son" (his father's name wasn't Jack, but Fonz: yet "Micheal, Fonz' son" didn't sound right). After a thorough research another artist appeared to be operating under the name. They decided that the first thing to pop up in their heads, would be the new name of the band. The outcome being JUX needs no further explanation. Although being a duo of extreme musical virtuosity they were still in search of a surplus value.
While lecturing at a weekly session of the "Misusing Public Money By Attending College For Minimum Tuition Fees Without Graduating Within The Common Terms Club" Payos spotted a marvelous addition to his band. Elvos was not a great guitar player, a lousy singer and a worse pianist but he had acces to studio equipment and a rehearsal room. A definite surplus value.
To receive a subsidy the band added a senior citizen. Mike spotted the nearly bald and weight gaining man in stepclass and he was happy to get some musical exercise. He was never able to memorize how to play a decent powerchord so he found hope in playing the bass guitar.
The lyrics contain political reflections, approaches of the innerself and views on social and economical problems and are considered little philosophical masterpieces. Their magnum opus "Cuddle punk" is the standard work to interpreting the meaning of life already. A term being used frequently in their approximation to the positive changes of music is "schmuck rock".
El Payos is a modest man. His famous words: "I owe my skills to the power of alcohol. No alcohol, no schmuck rock n' roll." I say: To the bars, the halls and festivals: one last call… serve this man alcohol.
