Belangrijk! Vakantie in de UK -> visa?

Hoi iedereen,

Ik wil in juni alleen met een goede vriendin naar Engeland reizen, en daar ongeveer een maandje verblijven (in goedkope hotels enzo - meer een backpackersleven), maar nu weet ik niet of we een visa nodig hebben:

Ik heb hier en daar gelezen dat we als burgers van Nederland door het Verdrag van Schengen ofzo helemaal geen visa nodig hebben om te reizen (maar ook werken en wonen) in Engeland, en dat onze identiteitskaart al genoeg is.

Maar hier en daar heb ik ook weer gelezen dat er wel een visa nodig is (of is dat alleen voor mensen uit landen die niet bij de EU horen). :s

Ik weet het nu even niet meer, hoor. :s

Misschien is er hier iemand die vaker naar Engeland op vakantie is geweest en hier meer over kan vertellen?

ik ben naar Londen geweest en had geen visa nodig...
misschien dat het anders is als je er een maand verblijft? Ik denk het persoonlijk niet... maar t zou kunnen.
Kijk anders op de site van de Engelse ambassade in NL, daar hebben ze alle info die je nodig hebt.

Nee, je hebt geen visum nodig.

Your family members may, of course, come to the UK independently of you, but the normal UK Immigration Rules will apply, including entry clearance requirements.

Although the UK is a member of the EEA, in general, the information here does not apply to British Citizens.
