Blacklisted is one of the forerunners doing their part to help gain the Philadelphia Hardcore scene even more of the recognition it deserves. This is the 6 song follow up to their 7" which shows even more progress as Blacklisted have tightened up their sound of angry hardcore played and executed precisely the way it should be. Sharp, loud, fast, & aggressive hardcore with plenty of mid tempo groovey breakdowns. 'Let me start this review off by saying, if you thought that their demo was good, wait until you hear this sucker! Six songs of pure pissed off HARDcore from the streets of Philadelphia. Thanks to a top notch recording at the Outpost (Sugar, Blood For Blood, American Nightmare) the true intensity of this bands live show is finally captured onto recording. George’s vocals sound more pissed off than ever before. Songs of heartbreak and loneliness are strewn throughout the whole record. If, for some reason, you haven’t heard Blacklisted, think of what a band would sound like if you combined the emotion of early American Nightmare and mixed it with the music of Madball. Blacklisted manage to take these two major influences and still create a sound of their own, without sounding like a carbon copy of NYHC like most bands do nowadays. Get this record at any cost. You won’t regret it. Best thing Stillborn has put out since the Right Brigade EP.'
