Mijn engels is slecht, zo als te lezen is. Vooral qua grammatica is voor mij gevoel erg scheef. Iemand suggesties om de brief te verbeteren?

Dear Huw and Megan,

After long fifty years you found each other again. I hope that you are married and happy, including your own daughter. Your live wasn’t easy, really not easy.
Huw, I really don’t understand why you didn’t want to see Megan after fifty years. When Beth (your daughter) wrote you, you wanted to see her and Megan. Your behaviour later is brave. Because you asked Megan to marry you, your happy now. Great job.
Your youth wasn’t easy. I admire that you have processed the misfortunes in your life so well. I can’t imagine how painful it was, when you didn’t get a respond to your letter.

Megan, what I don’t understand is why you don’t told Huw about Beth. Beth didn’t have a father and Huw didn’t knew about his daughter. That isn’t right. What I like about you, that you weren’t afraid to right back after fifty years. You were engaged, but you did wrote him back.

Over het gebruik van to do: als je de zin "I went there yesterday" ontkennend wilt maken krijg je de constructie "I didn't/did not go there yesterday". Je gebruikt dus de verleden tijdsvorm did van to do, maar gebruikt de tegenwoordige tijdsvorm van het andere werkwoord. Als je wilt benadrukken dat je inderdaad iets gedaan hebt krijg je de constructie "I did go there yesterday". Je legt daarbij in de uitspraak de nadruk op did.
