Ik vroeg me eigenlijk af of er meer van dit soort bands zijn, zoals Finntroll dus. Ik ben ze tot nu toe nog niet tegengekomen, of zijn ze uniek in hun genre?

Live is het ook prachtig, hoe cool was het toen er een polonaise door de pit ging! En het is leuk om te spelen op keyboard.

Vergelijkbaar? De bands die Parabola noemt + Equilibrium.

Het ging me ook niet echt om het vergelijkbare. Ik poste hier gewoon folk-metalbands die ik naast Finntroll ook goed hoorbaar vind

(en Elvenking vind ik niet echt op Finntroll lijken hoor, als je dan met folk invloeden begint kan je net zo goed Blind Guardian ertussen plakken en dan gaat het nergens meer over)

Inderdaad, Elvenking is meer progressive/power dan viking.

Erg leuke muziek, niet om constant te draaien, maar soms gooi ik Midnattens Widunder (of whatever) weer eens in de cd speler en amuseer ik me prima

Ik als liefhebber van het folk en viking subgenre zeg: Nee, mijden als de pest. Enkel het nummer Beyond The Dark Sun valt goed te pruimen. Verder is het een saaie fuckband zonder orginaliteit en tekort aan inspiratie.

Ok Iron van Ensiferum is mij slecht bevallen. Niet alle nummers op het album zijn slecht, maar vergeleken met hun debuut is Iron een lachertje.

Van Finntroll ken ik alleen Midnattens... niet echt goed.
Nattfödd vind ik beter dan Jaktens Tid. De sfeer op Nattfödd is geweldig.
Visor Om Slutet is ook zeker de moeite waard om te checken...over sfeer gesproken zeg!!!

Wil je nou echt beweren dat Menhir, Otyg, Bathory, Amon Amarth en Vintersorg op Finntroll lijken?
Kom op zeg, het heeft er niet eens iets van weg. De bands die je daar opsomt komen wel voor het grootste deel uit het folk/viking metal genre, maar dat wil niet zeggen dat het allemaal meteen op Finntroll lijkt.

Verwijderd	Finntroll! Heersch! Live is het ook prachtig, hoe cool was het toen er een polonaise door de pit ging! En het is leuk om te spelen op keyboard. Vergelijkbaar? De bands die Parabola noemt + Equilibrium.

Barthory	Nee, nee, nee. Wil je nou echt beweren dat Menhir, Otyg, Bathory, Amon Amarth en Vintersorg op Finntroll lijken? Kom op zeg, het heeft er niet eens iets van weg. De bands die je daar opsomt komen wel voor het grootste deel uit het folk/viking metal genre, maar dat wil niet zeggen dat het allemaal meteen op Finntroll lijkt.
