Jan: Do you have an idea where we could go (today?)?
Marco: I have a leaflet with 30 nice and interesting daytrips of British Rail
Jan: A day trip by train is a great idea. How much does it cost?
Marco: There are cheap and more expensive possibilities. It depends on the distance. There are prices from 2 pound to 16 pound.
Jan: Why do you name two prices at Windsor? (huh?)
Marco: I did that indeed. I have 2 options. Eastbourne costs 7,50 pounds and Windsor costs 3,40 or 2,90 pounds.
Het wordt hier een beetje moeilijk te volgen. Ik denk dat je bedoelt:
Marco: Well, we have two options. If we head for Eastbourne, it will cost us seven pound fifty, but when we travel to Windsor, it will either cost three pound forty or two pound ninety.
Jan: I don’t doubt about you already made a choice.
Marco: We can take the train from Paddington Station then it will cost 2,90 pounds, but we will have to change at Slough.
Jan: How long does the journey from Paddington to Windsor take?
Marco: The leaflet says 34 minutes. Do you like Eastbourne?
Jan: I think it is quite expensive and in my opinion it is also farther.
Marco: You are right. By train it takes 1 hour and 23 minutes from Victoria Station. Eastbourne is at the coast. The weather forecast from tomorrow is: rain, wind, and the temperature is 15 degrees Celsius.
Jan: It will not (?) good weather for a day on the beach. I prefer Windsor.
Marco: I prefer Windsor too. Windsor Castle is beautiful and every day 25 minutes past 10 there is the Changing of the Guard.
Jan: Is there more to see at Windsor? At school I’ve heard about a Madame Tussaud in Windsor.
Marco: We can visit that too. I read about a discount in the leaflet.
Jan: We should leave as early in the day as possible. Then we will have a lot of time to see everything.
Marco: I read Note B and it told that we may travel by any train after 30 minutes past 9.
Jan: That’s a shame, then we will not be able to arrive at Windsor early.
Marco: Relax. We can take the train from twenty-five to nine.
Jan: Pffjoe. Get we discount for the visit to Windsor?
Marco: No, I think we only get a discount for the exhibition. We can ask it at het Tourist Information in Windsor.
Jan: Shall we go on foot or by public transport to Paddington station?
Marco: On foot it takes about 25 minutes, by bus it takes about 10 minutes. What do you prefer?
Jan: I prefer to travel by bus.
Marco: That’s all right. Maybe it will rain.
Jan: How late must we get up then?
Marco: Washing and dressing takes about 15 minutes, breakfast a quarter and the bus 10 minutes. I propose we have to get up between eight o’clock and half past eight.
Jan: Can you wake me on time?
Marco: I promise. I’ll set the alarm for a quarter past eight.
Jan: I hope it will be a nice day.
Marco: Of course it will be.
