Dit vond ik op Old computers, ik vind ze wel grappig



Here is a picture that you can find on the ITMC SD-050 box. The theme shown here is a classic of video-games ads of that time : a complete and happy family !

As usual, we find the parents, the girl and the boy. As usual too, the girl doesn't know how to hold a joystick at all. It looks like she is trying to control the paddle with the fire button without even looking at what's going on the screen... girls ! But the most surprising is that it works, since she's winning 9 to 5 !! (I know you can't see clearly the score, but I do, so trust me).

The boy is surely very ill and doesn't have enough strength to stand right, that's why his beloved father is holding him...

Ok, let's talk about the father ! He's got the whole bunch of the ideal father of that time, nice grey waistcoat, large collar shirt closed to the top, brown striped tie, nice swatch and very nice brushing haircut.
The boy and the mother have very nice clothes too... Last thing, the curtains are really crap !


I looks like they used a brainless kid for this picture... He's got an idiot smile and he's staring at something straight ahead, far away outside the picture... In fact he doesn't give a fuck about what's going on the screen.

He has his hands on the keyboard (looks like someone just placed his hands there), but the running program apparently doesn't need any interaction from the user (it's a demo tape).

Last, but not least, his head seems out of proportion with his body... no ?


This rotten kid has all the Texas-Instrument products and he's not happy ! If I knew him, I would kick his ass...

For the pros, you can notice that the computer is a TI-99/4 with chicklet keyboard, equiped with a vocal synthesizer. Lucky boy...
