The sunlight blinds people
Do they even see the true you?
Or is that shade in your window
Pulled down before yourself
I could have reached inside you
Twisted your organs
Turned them inside out
And that smile would still be plastered
On your failing face
Dark brown orbs of life
I never did see them fade
But I know that they will
Dare I say, die?
I know why you cannot turn
And waste a tear
As the world continues to batter you

I press my forehead on the window
And through it watch children
Playing on the lawn

Desolation pulses through my veins
And my futile fingers reach out for guidance
I savor the blade, sinking deeper than blue

I can taste tranquility for a wavering instance
The anger flows down my arm as the bitter black blood
Burns off my fingertips

Death swims before me in hazy illusion
Images of eternity skip shamelessly through my mind
Pain surrounds, I am resolved to be - still

I run my hand on the tear stained window
And distorted through it
Watch children playing on the lawn.

Hm, eerste is wel aardig, tweede dus niet zo. Je Engels is wat eenzijdig georriënteerdt, veel 'Gothic' en weinig (relatief dan) basis. Het onderwerp van het tweede gecicht komt me een beetje den keel uit, het hele forum staat in het teken van snijden, niet normaal.

Eerste is inderdaad aardig. Ik houd wel van je woordkeuze.
Is niet erg toegankelijk alleen. Meer structuur er in zou geen kwaad kunnen denk ik Waar het precies over gaat blijft erg vaag, maar dat wil natuurlijk niet zeggen dat het daarom slecht is.
