De Daughters leveren super intense, snelle maar retestrakke post HC / no wave math metal die op het podium werkelijk nergens een steek zal laten vallen. Ergens in hartje Den Haag vondt De Nieuwe Vrolijkheid toevlucht voor de typische Haagse rock sound en komt op de proppen met heerlijk imperfecte lo-fi indie.


DAUGHTERS
Giving new meaning to the word brutal, Providence's DAUGHTERS leave behind whatever could be considered typical within their genre (their earlier sound being situated somewhere inbetween post hc / math metal / grindcore), and fitting in perfectly to the monstrous Hydra Head roster. At times sounding like labelmates Oxbow or cult-legends Arab on Radar (on steroids), their last offering "Hell Songs" (delivered by Andrew Schneider (Scissorfight, Cave In, Keelhaul) hits like a Mac Truck, pummeling its listener in a way that is, to-date, unmatched. Come see the hurricane that is Daughters.

DE NIEUWE VROLIJKHEID
In the heart of The Hague, De Nieuwe Vrolijkheid has discovered a small refuge far away from the typical The Hague rock sound. Their sound which can be described as a loose type of lo-fi-ish indie rock, has an emphasis on an intuitive way of making music that the band had pursued in their earlier days. Recently, the band has been performing their new stuff at venues and festivals throughout the Netherlands. Their music has an emotional drive, presented with Sturm und Drang.

Daughters vind ik anders ook behoorlijk kut. Zit worm nog steeds in dat pandje in t verlengde van de westblaak?
