Dear Sir/Madam,

Yesterday, my grandfather showed me a new show on the television (Lingo). I don't really like game shows, but I kept watching to keep my grandfather a bit company. I started loving Lingo more and more, and one day my grandfather suggested me to participate in the show together. I thought about it and just some days ago I came to the conclusion that it would be awesome to participate in the show.

I'd like to receive more information about participating. How to participate, possible costs, and maybe other things that we might need to know. Me and my grandfather have all the time until november the 31th, and we are always approachable except for thursdays.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Yesterday, my grandfather showed me a new show on the television. It was Lingo. (beetje raar om in een formele brief zoiets tussen haakjes te zetten, niet echt netjes ofzo) I don't really like game shows, but I kept watching to keep my grandfather company. I started to like (love is een beetje te overdreven hier) Lingo more and more, and one day my grandfather suggested be on (participate klinkt een beetje raar in deze context) the show together. I thought about it and just some days ago I came to the conclusion that I would very much like (awesome is nogal informeel en Amerikaans taalgebruik) to be on the show.

I'd like to receive more information about what we need to do to get on the show. How to participate, possible costs, and maybe other things that we (might drukt hier een soort van 'misschien' uit, die niet nodig is) need to know. Me and my grandfather have all the time until November (ook hier dus een hoofdletter) the 31th, and we are always approachable except for Thursdays. (en ook hier dus een hoofdletter)

Yesterday, dus gisteren liet je opa je die show zien, one day dus ergens verder in het verleden stelde je opa voor om met het programma mee te doen en just some days ago, enkele dagen geleden, kwam je tot de conclusie dat het je tof leek... Terwijl je pas gisteren die show zag?

+ in een formele brief gebruik je geen samentrekkingen zoals don't en I'd. Gewoon do not en I would.
