This report will help you to find a way to improve the service at House & Home. I will share my opinion about improving your service. There are three possible options for improving the service:
- Recruit more staff for each store
- Improve staff training
- Offer higher pay to sales staff
I also discussed this three options with other managers.
Recruit more staff for each store
I think that this option is a waste of money. If you listen to your customers you will see that they complain about the fact that sales staff are busy talking to each other. So I think that there is enough staff to help customers. The problem is not a lack of sales staff but the bad service of sales staff. So you do not need to hire more staff.

Improve staff training
I think that this option will help you to improve the service. If you train your staff, they will be able to help customers in a good way. On the other hand the training will cost Home & House a lot of money. But I think that better service will increase the profit so it compensates the costs of sales training.
Offer higher pay to sales staff
I think that this option will only help if you train your staff first. If you do not train them and give them a higher pay they get rewarded for something they did wrong. The service will be better if you train your sales staff. After you train them you can give them a higher pay. A higher pay will also prevent sales staff from leaving. In that way the training will also have utility because the sales staff will stay longer in the company.
Conclusion
The conclusion is very simple: First you should train your sales staff and after that you should offer them a higher pay. In that way you will get a better service and the sales staff will stay longer at your company.
