I Just like you

From all the pretty faces I have in my mind
you are definitely just one of a kind
Your hair is as soft as a feather
hopefully you will enjoy reading this letter

It's hard to describe the feelings I get
when I see you walking while I am starring at your head
Thinking about the day we met
avoids me from being so sad

Something is telling me that you are the one
only for you I would travel to the sun
But sometimes it feels like something is in the way
like everything is falling away from me

I like the way you are
and I like the way you ain't
Losing you will probably make me faint

While I am writing this rhyme
I am waiting for a sign
When will be the moment that we can align

For me you are everything I need
Please think about that the moment you read,
the moment you laugh and the moment we meet

You are the only one who will reflect in the glass
You are like the wind that whispers through the fields of grass
Never thinking about anything else but you
Always knew the sky turns blue due to you

Please let your eyes do the talking
I love to see you walking
Always happy to see you
Always wandering where this could lead to

As cute as a small ladybird
You're like an angel which has come down to visit earth
A bright light through the dark clouds
the clear light when someone is in doubts

Purple and green make your eyes speak
your laugh and your eyes are the reasons that my heart is weak
I don't want you to do things you don't want to, but just remember:

I just like you!


No fable

It isn’t a fable that your face was able
to make me blind because it shined.
Such a gorgeous little waterfall, that isn’t quite tall
but still had the power to overwhelm me in within an hour.

I am dreaming about you every night and day.
Thinking about how I can express my feelings for you in a good way.
I cannot deny that it is true,
trying to put in words that I am mad about you

I am sure it will feel nice
to skate with you hand in hand over the ice
and to fall in love with a princess of the night
that could turn the dark into a brilliant light.

Quite A long time ago
I was dreaming about you and me, walking in the white snow.
Now I realise my dream maybe will come true
and I can’t wait for all the things we can do.


Priceless

It’s just a circle I can’t break
but there’s nothing that I can’t take
If only I could find some love
If only I could make you laugh
It would be enough for me to make me warm
And I’ll make sure that nobody will do you any harm

Sometimes I don’t know what to say to you
Wishing you will say ‘I like you too’
from the time you fitted the diamond shoe
I knew I was in love with you

Downside the sparkling river
When you pass the frogs start to shiver
They’re all waiting for your kiss,
then they’ll turn into a prince, hoping you want to be their miss

I want you to come with me to the calming blue lake
And listen to the magic sounds that the birds can make
In the holy water we can swim all night
Meanwhile we can enjoy the shining moonlight

At night I am staring to the ceiling
dreaming about you and me together
And I’m longing for the days that will only get better
I cannot suppress that feeling
Looking at you made that all the bad things vanished
And turned into memories of you I cherished

Every night I rehearse
the way to the centre of the universe
To find a unique gift that is valuable enough to lift you up
And to take you as a Goddess to the top

Now I got your attention
Do I still have to mention that I’m thankful for the blissful days
I spend in space to pick you up everywhere
I swear for you I will fight a dragon in its lair

It’s your laughing I cannot resist
For my birthday I shall put you on my present list
But I know there is nobody who can afford to give me this
Because you are priceless


Dag en nacht

Het zijn je ogen waar ik voor altijd in wil blijven drijven.
Mijn gedachten is de plek waar je voor eeuwig in zult blijven.
Een speciaal plekje alleen voor jou bewaard,
beschermd door het allergrootste zwaard

Mijn woorden op papier,
van de maan tot aan hier,
Kunnen het nog niet beschrijven,
mijn gevoel voor jou dat voor altijd zal blijven.

De sterren in je ogen
zijn mooier dan alle regenbogen.
Omdat jij zo leuk lacht
denk ik aan jou, dag en nacht.

Zinnen die nog niet compleet zijn maak jij af,
vlinders in mijn buik is wat jij mij gaf.
Met jou wil ik staan,
hand in hand, daarboven op de maan

Soms gaat het leven niet over rozen.
Als ik naar je kijk moet ik toch een beetje blozen,
want een meid zoals jij komt alleen voor in zeldzame dromen,
en ik weet zeker dat jij daaruit bent gekomen!

after I heard what you thought of me
I just don't understand
why you wanted to stay a friend

For a long time I thought that it would work out
but now the only thing I want is to cry out loud
Because I feel like everything in my world has been torn apart
and I wish I could make a whole new start

But I think I have just misunderstood
Maybe it's better that I stay out of your neighbourhood
but standing the pain is what I cannot,
because I still love you, a lot

My tears come down like a cloud break
No reason left to live; it's more than I can take
I don't know what to do
trying to forget your face or just call to you
My mind feels like a field of waste
I felt like I was close to the thing I chased

I can't cover up my pain
Your love is the thing I wish to gain
Want to be close to you, holding you tight
Lying next to you, dreaming together at night

I hope you will eventually come back to me
and say that this time your heart does agree
Keep holding on, I might win your heart
It’s the thing I tried from the start

Had je ze niet een beetje kunnen spreiden? No fable vind ik wel aardig, maar let op je vt-spelling en aan het eenduidig gebruiken van de (Weet ik hoe dat heet, weekend!) ing-vorm of die andere, in ieder geval, tweede stroof. Geld ook voor de derde
