hier moet ik een werkstuk over maken, maar ik kan niks vinden op internet. Weet iemand hoe dit (ALU) werkt, of een goede site erover, kun je dat hier dan posten??

The ALU (or Arithmic Logical Unit):

This piece of a processor handles the mathematical functions. The special thing about the Pentium 4's ALU, is that it's double pumped and has a latency of 0.3 nanosec. where the Pentium III had a latency of 1.0 nanosec. What i meant with the double pumped ALU, is that the Pentium 4 benefits of in fact four ALU's produced by two fysical ALU's, which indiviudally work at the processor's core clock speed. This makes 3D and office applications more effecient and faster (e.g. when rendering a 3D Model or in performing calculations).
