Delta (9 mei - Den Haag)

How would the world be if M.C. Escher composed music in a rock band in the 21st century? Or if Lewis Caroll designed industrial robots? On Saturday the 9th of May, the Day of Europe, Delta Festival answers these questions with an almost surreal line-up. Music, robot installations, theatre plays, live art and cabaret endorse the visitors to hidden realms of the mind. Headliners: 65daysofstatic(UK), known as the main support act of The Cure, NiCad (NL), winner of the Grote Prijs Zuid-Holland, and Gravious(UK), emerging dubstep producer based in Glasgow.

The Delta Festival will be opened by the city councilman of Culture and Finance, Marieke Bolle, with a cabaret performance by The Big MO. The Delta Festival takes place at Theater De Regentes and presents a virtuous and varied program. Visitors will be engaged at workshops to experiment with synthesizers and electronic music. To stimulate young talent the Langweiligkeit Foundation organises the Freakpodium contest, putting new talent on the Delta Festival. With the unique ambiance of the location and the extraordinary line-up, it promises to be an impressive festival.

The Delta Festival is an ambitious cooperation between the underground scene of the Langweiligkeit Foundation and the established culture institution Theater De Regentes. With the European Elections coming up in June, visitors can download and colour a Climate & Energy poster to win an exclusive limo ride to the Delta Festival which takes place on the Day of Europe.
