Words can inflict a lot damage
More the most weapons can

Words can please people a lot
More then money can

Words can brighten up people
More then the sun can do

Words can make people forgive you
More then money would do

Why would you use weapons?
A punch with a bat in your face hurts for some time
But a letter in your mailbox from somebody you care about
Is able to hurt you for weeks or even months
The words shall be remembered, and it shall make a scar
Not on your body, but on your feelings

Why would we use money to please people?
Why would we use money to make people forgive us?
Money can make somebody smile, but it’s anonymous
Words can stay in minds for a long time,
Long enough to leave marks in their mind.

Why would you buy somebody an ice cream to make him or her happy?
Ice cream tastes good. It shall please you for a moment, but after that, it’ forgotten.
Nice words can cheer somebody up, a lot
The words shall be remembered
But shall the ice cream be remembered?

Words are powerful
We all can harm people badly with it
We all can please people with it
We all can brighten up people with it
We all can describe a lot with it

Don’t underestimate them.
Use them in a good way.

Think about what you say and when you say it.

sorry, maar vindt em niet echt goed lopen. heb em eerlijk gezegd niet eens uitgelezen.

het idee, vind ik erg mooi, het begin ook wel redelijk, maar dan zwakt het (helaas) af, misschien als je er nog wat aan sleutelt!

De boodschap vind ik heel mooi maar het gedicht zelf vind ik wat minder maar het laat wel zien dat je nadenk over de zaken van de wereld en dat het je bezig houd en ik kan er aan opmerken dat je heel erg gevoelig ben net als ik...
