The sound benefits from the fabulous string arrangements by Sean O’Hagan and the use of a 100-strong Catalan choir, which add to the sophisticated feel. There’s no filler on this album as you’ll find on even the best of their past records; this is elegant and grown up, with no need for yetis, tanks or bears to distract from the music. It feels like the sort of unified vision that Brian Wilson, Arthur Lee and Lennon and McCartney had in the 60s, making records on which every track would stand out.

Een Engels album, hoera. Daarnaast hangt er over het geheel een Floydesque sfeer, driewerf hoera. Het album dwaalt gelukkig al een tijdje rond op de nodige P2P-programma's, gunstig dus.
