The sunlight blinds people
Do they even see the true you?
Or is that shade in your window
Pulled down before yourself
I could have reached inside you
Twisted your organs
Turned them inside out
And that smile would still be plastered
On your failing face
Dark brown orbs of life
I never did see them fade
But I know that they will
Dare I say, die?
I know why you cannot turn
And waste a tear
As the world continues to batter you
Your facade is like the blossoms
Swaying in the breeze
of the early spring
But in the church yard
You are dying roses
upon your father's grave
Shall I take your friends
And dump them in the garden
So they die like everything
Else within your soul?
That hollow act of joy is failing
A growing hole in your jeans
The brown is dying out
Everyone dances along in their sweet misery
But stooping down below
You don't sway in the breeze
Flowers like you
Tend to wither up and
And...die
So dance one more time
Let those who kill you
Spin the records
And take my hand and twirl
Letting the tears fling
And the broken hearts unravel
Keep on twirling on the floor
I wish to release your hand
Watching you spin one last time
And I will see the light in you fly away
As you collapse
Happiness is never seen again
By those who knew you
The last dance...
Is all I shall ever have
