Your eyes...

As I saw you standing in front of me,
Holding my hand, stopping me from walking away.
I could see the pain hiding in your eyes,
It tortured me so like the knife who cuts
Trough my bad feelings inside.

To look in those sweet glassy eyes,
In wich I saw once stars twinkle.
Those reliable, reassuring eyes, now filled with fears.
Those loving eyes once made me feel enamoured,
Now they bring me tears.

I couldn’t look in your eyes,
Couldn’t stand to see you sad.
That’s why I walked away, walked away from your eyes.
Because I know if I looked in to them again,
It would be more difficult for me to overcome my inner cries.

Your eyes wich radiates so much trust, so much love,
Your radiation I was caught by,
It touched my heart, I couldn’t fight it.
Loving, crying, bleeding, dying, didn’t want to.
Scared to be touched by them again,
That’s why I avoid them, or at least i try...

ik vin de metriek (was dathet goede woord ) niet zo mooi alleen.. maar de boodscap is duidenlijk en mooi verwoord..
