Plot: A top secret military project hires prestigous university students to assist create a cell altering machine called the 'gammasphere'. Lead of the group is arrogant Bruce Banner, mainly complimented by compassionate Betty Ross. When the gammasphere goes wrong, Bruce Banner is afflicted with the ability to turn into a mammoth creature soon dubbed 'The Hulk', a manifestation of his own inner demons that he mutates into when it is emotionally triggered. A ruined, Jeckyll and Hyde man he may be, but a ruined man may prove to be a heroic one when a villain emerges, and close...

The trade says that they couldn't get in touch with him because they were told the director is shooting the third installment in London at this time. Production was originally scheduled to start on February 17th in London at the Leavesden Studios.

Black, Gass and Lynch will also write the script, with Black and Gass producing as well. The studio is in negotiations with Ben Stiller's Red Hour Films to produce.

The specific story line of the Tenacious D film is being kept under wraps, but it is said to be a "creation" story revolving around how the duo became the greatest band on Earth.

In de trailer had ik ook mijn bedenkingen over de effecten. Maar in de film zelf komt het heel goed uit de verf en had ik er niks op aan te merken

ik vond hem ongelofelijk KLOTE!!

HULK zelf is mooi gemaakt, dat vind ik wel, maar het verhaal is echt verschrikkelijk, dat gezeik met z'n pa.., ik vond het te weinig HULK (voor de pauze had ik hem WEL 1 keer groen zien worden..) en teveel drama, en een hulk word godverdomme geen 4,5 meter..

weinig hulk voor je geld dus.. in my opinion

(en wat heeft general ross een verschrikkelijke snor..)

ik vond het een hele fijne film. Ik heb echt genoten, hoewel het geen meesterwerk is. Dit komt vooral door het geforceerd gewichtige script dat een paar voorspelbare wendingen herbergt + de nodige overbodige rompslomp. Ang lee kan veel beter op dit gebied dan hij hier laat zien.

Gelukkig was het acteerwerk en plotconstructie redelijk genoeg om de dramatische aspecten over te laten komen op de kijker zonder te vervallen in al te goedkoop sentiment.

De hulk zelf was, op een paar scenes na, vlekkeloos gerealiseerd met prachtige sloopwerkzaamheden. Vooral de scene in de woestin met die tanks was helemaal super, vooral ook omdat je de hulk in zijn volle glorie te zien krijgt en niet zoals bij godzilla slechts in het donker.

Het is dus zeker een aanrader voor iedereen die zin heeft in een spectaculaire film, hoewel voor sommigen het tempo in het begin te laag zal zijn.
