My wife and I had a retired Guide dog. Nicko was the most amazing Golden Retriever in the world.
When we moved to Norway, we shipped him with a pet shipping service, and he did not do well. His health suffered drastically, and it took weeks to get him back up to shape.
So, when we moved BACK to the USA, we had quite the conundrum.
Well, he was a RETIRED guide dog, but his paperwork didn't say anything about that...
So, yes, my wife impersonated a blind person for the 14 hour flight. Dark sunglasses and closed eyes.
Nicko had grown spoiled since we had him though. He was a very lax guide dog by that point. He would lead her into barriers at the airport, since HE could fit under them, right? On the way to the terminal, he started leading her left of where we were going, and eventually we figured out he was following a lady with a polse (hot dog).
