Ik denk zelf dat het over de snelheid van hun aanval gaat. Aangezien ze in de Trailer de mensen in dat stadje nogal verassen. Want ze landen met een Cillinder daarna schroeft deze open en de oorlog begint in het boek doen ze er wel twee dagen over. In de film zal dit misschien maar een paar uur duren.

Maar pas op dit is alleen maar speculatie!

Wegens de Tsunami op tweede Kerstdag 2004 heeft Pendragon een nieuwe trailer moeten maken. Maar veel van de FX is nog niet af (Big Ben scen bijvoorbeeld). Hier is een reactie van de regiseur Timothy Hines:

Here's a small piece for public information.

The theatrical trailer just released, which replaced the one pulled due to respect for our Southeast Asian distributors, will be circulated in theaters late February with tweaks and adjustments to FX and timing. Thanks to all for your feedback. It has been instructive and much appreciated. Two new trailers with completed FX will be be released to theaters beginning circulation in late February and early March. Early March will also see new television trailers which will be broadcast in the U.S. and select countries. Thank you all for your support.

Idd, door Orson Welles en dat verhaal van die zelfmoorden is iets overdreven er heeft maar één vrouw zelfmoord gepleegd door middel van vergiftiging. Vlak voordat ze het gif in nam zei ze: ''Als ik dood moet, liever zo dan door hen!''
En er heeft een boer een watertank beschoten hij hield het ding voor een Marsbewoner.

Dat eerste is van een heruitzending in Zuid-Amerika daar zijn twaalf mensen omgekomen toen opstandige mensen het Radio gebouw in de brand hadden gestoken.
Er was idd een ander populair programma op de radio en dat overlapte de intro van WotW waarin Orson Welles de proloog hield en waarschuwde dat dit een hoorspel was.

The Principals of Pendragon Pictures announce the push back of the theatrical release date of H.G. WELLS' THE WAR OF THE WORLDS from March 30th, 2005 to late April with the exact date yet to be announced.

"The push back is due entirely to production," states director Timothy Hines. "I've worked for seven year on this film and as the release deadline approached I was
faced with a very simple choice, rush the picture or push the release date back and do the movie right." Hines is unapologetic about the push back. "This was absolutely the right thing to do. My picture, H.G. WELLS' THE WAR OF THE WORLDS is an epic with thousands of special effects. It would have been absurd to cut scenes or rush effects when the movie was so close to completion. The thousands of fan letters that pour in every week reflect that this decision is correct and in the end it was the only way to go. Nobody remembers that some episodes of STAR WARS have been up to a year late, that Francis Ford Coppola, Kubrick and many other directors have routinely missed deadliness to get their picture right. H.G. WELLS' THE WAR OF THE WORLDS is all we hoped it would be and more."

A few private test screenings have brought overwhelmingly positive responses. Test audiences have reacted with strong emotions ranging from tears to triumphant. "I'm not surprised at the powerful reaction to the movie from our test groups," says Hines. "We did the book. Wells was a powerful writer. THE WAR OF THE WORLDS is a tragic story. It's a horror story. I didn't play the battles between the human artillery and the giant three-legged fighting machines triumphantly. This is humanity losing its planet to an invading force. Well, for a time anyway. That people have shown they are moved by the movie says we got it right."

The exact April theatrical release date of H.G. WELLS' THE WAR OF THE WORLDS will be announced shortly, though the DVD release is locked. The picture is presold for DVD into 60,000 retail stores in the U.S. and Canada and will hit the shelves June 15th, 2005. Worldwide DVD presales are in progress.

"Most of these rumors are laughable," smiles Hines, "I would love it if George Lucas threw some support in our direction. nou deze poster is iig beter dan de 'eerste' met die wagen, maar wordt de pendragon versie een echt bioscoopfilm of een filmhuisversie?
Aan de ene kant is t wel beter dat Spielberg's versie zo veel afwijkt van het origineel, want zo gaan ze niet zo op elkaar lijken en blijft het leuk als je ze allebei wilt zien

Daar kun je nog geen uitspraak over doen. Het kan een reachtstreeks naar DVD versie worden maar volgens alles komt hij in Amerika in de Bios.

In ieder geval geen grote uitgave. Zelfs de grootste Amerikaanse troep dat hier meteen op video wordt uitgebracht krijgt een aantal bioscoopvertoningen in Amerika. Dat zegt dus niets.

Hier iets over de Soundtrack van Pendragon's War of the Worlds:
While not been aloud to discuss any intimate details of Pendragon Pictures The War of the Worlds before its release, composer Jamie Hall gave us (www.eveofthewar.com) a tiny little insight on how well the The War of the Worlds scores has come along.

This is what Jamie had to say about his score after i contacted him early yesterday morning.

"Yes, I am the composer for "H.G. Wells' The War of the Worlds" by Pendragon Pictures. Thank you for your kind words about my music. I promised Pendragon not to discuss any of the intimate details of the film before it is released, but I will say that I was thrilled to get to work on an epic story such as this. The film ended up having quite a bit of music in it. I don't have an exact figure, but I would estimate that I wrote more than 100 minutes worth. I'll have to do an exact calculation here at some point. Both myself and Mr. Hines are quite happy with how the music turned out. Hopefully, if there is enough interest around the film when it is released, a soundtrack album will be created for it."

Er is nog niets bekend over de Soundtrack maar het zal niet dezelfde muziek zijn als in de Trailers.

Een soort van spoilerwarning !!!!!!! ach maar als je de trailer ziet dan ken je t ook... dus je kan nu nog stoppen met lezen...

Je ziet een tentakel (robot of organisch is neit helemaal goed te zien zo snel)

De brug leek eerst omgeduwd te worden, maar de grond eronder zakt weg en daardoor stort die in als ze wegrijden
een kapseizende boot (hmmm tribute??

)

een tentakelcoseup, nog niet te zien of hij organisch is, maaje hoort 'gergom' dus zal wel

en als top van de ijsberg zie je een ruimteschip(achtig iets) in/uit een ontploffing (komen)

Retinite	nou deze poster is iig beter dan de 'eerste' met die wagen, maar wordt de pendragon versie een echt bioscoopfilm of een filmhuisversie? Aan de ene kant is t wel beter dat Spielberg's versie zo veel afwijkt van het origineel, want zo gaan ze niet zo op elkaar lijken en blijft het leuk als je ze allebei wilt zien __________________ Sorry kindjes, maar IK ben niet te koop...
