Wie wil deze tekst even nakijken (boven staan Ned. tekst en onder Engelse tekst) Het gaat over een film waar je een persoon moet volgen.

Rat Race

Enrico Pollini (Rowan Atkinson) komt binnen in de speciale kamer waar iedereen een bepaalde soort munt heeft gewonnen. Hij zegt dat hij ook een gouden munt heeft. Hij is er zeer blij mee en vind het een mooie kamer, maar ook omdat er veel eten is. Een groep van 8 mensen moeten mee doen aan een soort “race”. Iedereen moet dan naar Silver City, New-Mexico (563 Miles). Ze krijgen allemaal een sleutel voor kluisje 001. Wie deze kluis het eerst open maakt krijgt 2 miljoen dollar. Enrico hoopt dat hij wint. Volgens hem win je hem alleen maar als je snel bent en veel koolhydraten eet en ademhaling is ook van belang. Hij valt helemaal in het begin in slaap. Dit vindt plaats in de lobby van de Hotel. Hij slaapt een groot gedeelte in de film en bevindt zich nog steeds in het hotel. Terwijl de andere allang onderweg zijn naar Silver City, maar ook veel pech hebben. Hij wordt wakker gemaakt door een groep kinderen en bedenkt weer dat er een race is. Hij rent naar buiten en vraagt een taxi, terwijl hij de straat oversteekt wordt hij aangereden door een soort ziekenauto. (Lifeline Medical Services). Hij staat op en is niet gewond. Hij wordt meegenomen door de man die in de ziekenauto zat i.p.v de taxi. Hij moet toevallig ook in de richting van Silver City rijden en neemt hem mee. Als ze onderweg zijn zet de Lifeline Medical medewerker (Mr. Sack) de radio uit. Hij vervoert menselijke harten. Hij moet er een brengen naar El Paso met zijn auto, omdat het vliegveld gesloten was. Enrico Pollini moet naar het hart kijken in de koelbox. Plotseling valt het hart uit de koelbox, omdat ze over een uitlaat waren overeen gereden. Die was gevallen van de vrachtwagen die voor hun reed. Ze zijn nog steeds onderweg naar Silver City. Hij probeert nou het hart terug in het zakje te stoppen, maar dit lukt niet en het hart vliegt uit het raam. De bestuurder van de auto drukt hard op de rem en zoekt naar het hart. Opeens komt een hond eraan met de hart in zijn bek. Terwijl Enrico zijn “speeltje” weer weggooit ziet de bestuurder van de auto bloed aan zijn hand. Hij gaat achter de hond aan. De hond blijft wegrennen en rent tegen de elektriciteitsdraad op. Ze bedenken een nieuw plan. Ze moeten een zwerver zoeken voor een nieuw hart. Mr Sack komt op een plan om Enrico zijn hart af te pakken, maar dit mislukt omdat hij wegrent en door een trein wordt geschept. Hij zit nu in de trein richting Silver City. Naast hem zit een klein kind. Hij probeert er mee te spelen en geeft zijn sleutel af. Als hij hoort dat hij in Silver City is probeert hij de sleutel terug te vinden en zoekt het kind door of hij de sleutel heeft. Hij wordt er uitgegooid bij het station door de conducteur. Hij gaat het station binnen. Terwijl hij naar de kluis rent valt hij in slaap Als de andere de kluis open maken blijkt er niks meer in te zitten en rennen naar buiten. Ze gaan achter een rode auto achterna, maar ze zien dat het geld aan een luchtballon is vastgebonden. De luchtballon komt terecht bij “Feed The Earth”. Iedereen doneert als z’n geld aan kinderen die in hongersnood zitten.

a long time underway is to Silver city, but they have breakdown also much. He is made awake by a group children and considers that there is a
race. He runs outside and asks for a taxi, whereas he crosses the street he becomes collided by a type patient car. (Lifeline Medical services). He stands up and isn’t wounded. He is taken along by the man by the man in the patient car. He is now in the patient car instead of the taxi. He must drive accidentally also in the direction of Silver city and takes along him. If they are underway the Lifeline Medical employer (Mr. Sack) turn off the radio. He transports human hearts. He must bring there to Ell Paso with his car, because the airport was closed. Enrico Pollini must look at to the
heart in the mobile cool box. Suddenly he drops the heart out of the mobile cool box. Because he had driven concerning an exhaust. It had fallen of the truck which drove for them. They are still underway to Silver city. He tries to put the heart in the small pocket, but this doesn’t
succeed and the heart flies from the window. The driver of the car
presses hard on the brake and he seeks to the heart. Suddenly a dog comes with the heart in his mouth. Whereas Enrico are throws the dog toys away. The driver of the car meets again blood on his hand. He contracts behind the dog. The dog stays up to run away and runs against the electricity thread. They consider a new plan. They must look for a tramp for a new heart. Mr. Sack considers a new plan. He wants to take heart of Enrico, but this failed.
Because he runs away and hitchhike by a train. Mr Sack is overjoyed when the heart starts be beats. He is going now in the train to Silver city. Beside him sits a small child. He tries to play part in and there gives the key finished. If
he hears that he is in Silver city he tries retrieve the key and looks up for the key. He seeks the key by the child. The parents of the child become angry. He is thrown out at the station by the conductor

Dit is niet even nakijken, heb je geen Engelse spell check op je computer, want dan kan je zo een hele boel fouten er uithalen, ook grammatica fouten!

Heb je de tekst zelf verzonnen? Want ook in de Nederlandse tekst loopt het niet helemaal lekker, waardoor de vertaling ook niet lekker loopt.

He contracts behind the dog. The dog stays up to run away and runs against the electricity thread. They consider a new plan. They must look for a tramp for a new heart. Mr. Sack considers a new plan. He wants to take heart of Enrico, but that didn't work.

OKéé wa was da Kheb er ff wa dingen van aangepast mo die tekst klopt aan geen kanten hé. Geen vertaalprogramma's gebruiken op internet vo teksten hé die werken gewoon niet. Kan er mss iemand anders verder doen? kheb al wa woorden in de goeie volgorde gezet

Heb je babelfish soms gebruikt???

Zonee, dan heb ik wat tips voor je:
- vertaal niet woord voor woord. De zinsopbouw is anders in het Engels dan in het Nederlands.
- de Nederlandse tekst is op sommige punten ook rommelig en onduidelijk. Deze zin bijvoorbeeld: "Hij is er zeer blij mee en vind het een mooie kamer, maar ook omdat er veel eten is." Dat zorgt vanzelf al voor slechte vertalingen. Ik kan mij voorstellen dat je eerst een tekst in het Nederlands wilt schrijven om deze dan te vertalen in het Engels, omdat je je beter kunt uitdrukken in het Nederlands. Dit zou echter niet ten nadele van de tekst zelf moeten komen en dat lijkt hier het geval te zijn. Probeer anders eens een Engelse tekst "uit het hoofd" op te schrijven aan de hand van een korte samenvatting in het Nederlands.

Je spreekt jezelf nogal tegen. Hij heeft hem 'gemaakt' met babelfish en jij hebt zelfs die moeite niet genomen, of jullie hebben samen babelfish gebruikt. Iig succes ermee

Dit is amper Engels te noemen. Hoe kun je nu verwachten dat mensen de moeite nemen dit serieus na te kijken?

Wat een hoop negatieve reakties, er staat in ieder geval een vertaling. Het is een feit dat er fouten in staan en dat grammaticaal er een en het ander verbeterd kan worden. Maar er is in iedergeval een poging gewaagd.

Er zijn ook mensen die laten het werk door anderen doen. Of ze kijken een film terwijl ze het boek moeten lezen, dat vind ik veel kwalijker.

He stands up and isn’t wounded. He is taken along by the man in the patient car. He now is in the patient car instead of the taxi. The patient car goes in the same directions en he can go with him. The driver sees blood on Enrico’s hand. He goes after the dog. The dog runs away and into an electricity wire. They consider a new plan. They must look for a tramp for a new heart. Mr. Sack considers a new plan. He wants to take the heart of Enrico doesn’t work, because he runs away and jumps a train. Mr Sack is overjoyed when the heart starts to beat. Enrico is now on a train to Silver city. Next to him sits a small child. He tries to play with him and gives the special key.
When he hears he is in Silver city he starts looking for the key. He finds the key, the child has it. The parents of the child become angry and he is thrown out the train at the next stop by the conductor. Everyone arrives at the same time in Silver City. Enrico enters the railway station. He goes into the chamber.
There is a sign with the text; “Members of the gold coins enter the chamber”. The chamber is very dark, therefore he collides with the pillar. Suddenly the door opens. He tries to open the safe, but the key breaks off. He gets a heart attack from the stress. He sees god. He says; “use this one-second glue”. Suddenly Enrico is waking up. He has the one-second glue in his hand. He glues the key belongings together and opens the safe. The safe is divided in two parts. On the one side there is a text and it says eternal happiness and love. On the other side the text says eternal riches. He chooses for the second safe and he sees that he has won 2 million dollar. He sees what he can do with 2 million dollar and that he have a lot of beautiful women. He thinks he is unhappy and lacks love. He gives away half the 2 million dollars to a charity. He leaves for Italy where he meets his old love again. A few years later they get married and have two daughters.

Een slecht nederlands stuk door een automatische vertaler ala babelfish laten vertalen vind ik geen poging wagen.

Ik vind dat mensen zélf een poging moeten wagen, het door babelfish halen is geen poging. Natuurlijk, als iemand zo aardig is het complete stuk naar het engels te vertalen, dat mag best, maar ik doe het niet. Ik kijk wel stukken na die mensen zelf vertaald hebben, maar huiswerk van anderen maken doe ik niet.
