Hallo ik moet aankomende woensdag een presentatie (voor engels) houden en nu heb ik een Nederlandse tekst met een vertaalmachine(www.worldlingo.com) vertaald. Ik heb daarna wel een hoop foutjes weggehaald en ook een paar niet waar ik het niet zeker van wist, dus nu is mijn vraag: Kunnen jullie deze tekst alsjeblieft een beetje verbeteren of vertellen welke zinnen fout zijn?

Maar ik had niet gezien dat de nederlandse tekst er ook bij stond.
Misschien dat ik er vanavond nog naar kan kijken (met de nederlandse tekst erbij)

maar het is nog niet helemaal goed zoals ik uit de opmerking van nomen nescio kan opmaken, dus zouden jullie ook nog ff willen checken of het klopt of niet en het verbeteren alsjeblieft!?

Mijn opmerking sloeg op je eerste versie, die was gewoon weg beroerd. (sorry, kan er ook niets meer van maken)
De aanpassingen die Barkrukkie heeft gemaakt zijn al een hele verbetering.
Maar het grootste probleem nu nog is, is dat het geen lopend verhaal is. Het zijn nog losse vertaalde zinnetjes achter elkaar.

Sjanghai heeft de meeste inwoners van China. Er wonen ongeveer 12,5 miljoen mensen. Sjanghai was eerst gewoon een vissersdorpje. De stad ligt aan de monding van de Yngtze. Er kwamen veel Europeanen opaf, daardoor werd het een enorme handelsstad. Aan het begin van de twintigste eeuw kwamen een ook veel joden naartoe.

Peking

Peking is de hoofdstad van China, maar heeft niet de meeste inwoners. Deze stad heeft zo’n 11 miljoen inwoners. Deze stad is erg belangrijk geweest, want de Chinese keizer heeft hier gewoond. Dat paleis werd ook wel de verboden stad genoemd, dat kwam omdat gewone mensen er niet mochten komen. In Peking ligt ook het plein van hemelse vrede.

Hongkong
Hongkong is met inwoners de derde stad van China. De stad heeft ongeveer 6 miljoen inwoners. Hongkong was tot 1997 een Britse kolonie.

moet je ook zeker doen, vooral als het een presentatie is. Ik vond dat er vaak "inhabitants" in voor kwam, en al die rivier-namen zijn misschien niet interessant.
In een schriftelijk verslag kan dat nog wel, maar bij een presentatie gaat 't er ook om om de luisteraar te boeien, en dat lukt meestal niet met veel cijfers en namen.
