I've been playing around with recording gear past week, i kinda got addicted to it. I really want to buy a nice simple mixing panel that, which should fit my needs to record myself, and has enough inputs to record in a simple band situation. All that for a decent price ofcourse. After some searching, I ran into this following Behringer panel: Url: http://www.behringer.com/02_products...X802A&lang=eng Picture: I can get it -new- for around 100 dollars, which is well within my estimated budget. Some specifications for the people who dont have to time to check the site: "Four mono mic/line channels with INVISIBLE MIC PREAMPS plus two stereo channels perfect for keyboards, MIDI equipment or other stereo sound sources and a 2-track input/output for recording and playback in a mixer small enough to carry in your board luggage: meet the MX802A. In spite of its size, you’ll find great 3-band equalizers in each channel plus switchable low-cut filters in the mono channels, two aux sends, two stereo returns, phantom power and accurate peak LED’s and level meters. Plus of course our ULN circuitry and exceptional build quality." For the time being, I record everything on casette tape..nice "recording" gear is something i will invest in in the future. Next Part: Im really new to everything related to recording, so how does it work? If i want to record the guitar amp, Is that done by putting a microphone in front of it, or can I put the Amp directly trough to the panel? Same goes for drums, If I want to record with the whole band, I`ll have like, one input left for my drums (probably the overhead microphone), or could I put another mixing panel between my drums and the Behringer panel? Anyway, Long story, but i hope someone has some nice tips and recommendations! ----------------------------
