In the nocturnal silence
I seek your star
Are you so nearby
And seems the Netherlands so far

The silence decreases on me
am I so aware
that I belong here now
the beauty becomes my rest

The world around me
calms my restless soul
and the silence surrounds me
makes me feels so small

A little hope in the darkness
as a tiny light in the dark sky
Was I alone with that one star
A little bit less confused

Because the time flies as quick as lightning
and goes slowly beyond
however the time will learn
what the future brings for me

Een vriendin vroeg me of mijn gedicht Jouw ster ook niet in het Engels kon. Hierboven het resultaat, wat vinden jullie?!

Dank je! Enne ik ook hoor! Sowieso een gedicht vertalen vind ik meestal niet zo mooi.

Maar die vriendin van me heeft een buitenlandse vriend en ze vond het gedicht ook voor haar wel toepasselijk. Dus ik dacht, ik kan het altijd eens proberen hè?!
